Abstract: A duster cleaning member derives its suction power from a vacuum cleaner to which it is operatively coupled. A duster made of any material received thereby is cleaned by the filtration system of the vacuum cleaner which captures the dust and exhausts cleaned air back into the home or office environment.

Abstract: Insertion of a dust wand into a portable vacuum filtration canister removes foreign matter therefrom when and where necessary without polluting the air. A powerpack provides cordless (rechargeable or non-rechargeable) and corded operation. A readily serviceable grid filter, and a HEPA or other filter provides cleaned air free of dirt, dust and allergens.

Abstract: A wheeled walker having a moveable carry basket. The walker has a carry basket mounted between the front leg members. The mounting arrangement permits the basket to be moved between a first position in which the basket projects forward of the front leg members for ease of loading and unloading and a second position in which the basket is displaced substantially rearward of the front leg members under the seating surface.

Abstract: A wheeled walker convertible to a transport chair. The walker has a strap-type backrest that is pivotally attached to the upper end of the handlebars. The backrest can be placed in a forward position when the apparatus is used as a walker and the user wishes to rest in a rearward facing sitting position and in a rearward position when the apparatus is used as a transport chair and the user sits in a forward facing position and is propelled by a care-giver. A novel braking system locates the brake actuating linkage inside the leg and handlebar members and provides accommodates extension height adjustment of the handlebars. A brake lever system providing a linear pull non-cable brake actuation is also disclosed.

Abstract: A lighting device convertible between reading light and flashlight configurations has separate off/on light actuating switches. The lighting device includes a case, an elongated arm, hinge, light cap, light element, batteries, first switch and second switch. The hinge pivotally mounts a rear end of the arm to a rear end of the case to allow pivotal movement of the arm between an erect position angularly spaced from the case, the reading light configuration, and a lowered position against the main body, the flashlight configuration. The light element is mounted to the light cap which, in turn, is pivotally mounted to a front end of the arm for positioning the light element at various angles to provide light therebelow at various angles with the arm in the erect position and for positioning the light element at first and second angularly displaced positions to provide light directly forwardly of the case in the first position but not in the second position with the arm in the lowered position.

Abstract: An interchangeable control panel module removably mountable to the housing of the powered unit of a hand-held vacuum cleaner may be configured to provide the feature mix of a given product model without requiring redesign of the housing of the powered unit to accommodate the feature mixes of different product models. The feature face of the interchangeable control panel module is aesthetically continuous with the housing of the powered unit and may be configured to include at least one of an on/off power switch, a headlight and a battery charge indicating bar graph.

Abstract: A lighting device convertible between reading light and pen light configurations uses only a single off/on light actuating switch in either configuration. The lighting device includes a main body, pivoting arm, hinge, light generating element, batteries and switch member and button. The main body has opposite front and rear ends and defines a recess at the front end. The pivoting arm has opposite front and rear ends. The hinge pivotally mounts the rear end of the pivoting arm to the rear end of the main body to allow pivotal movement of the pivoting arm between an erect position angularly spaced from the main body, the reading light configuration, and a lowered position adjacent to the main body, the pen light configuration.

Abstract: A card-like flashlight device includes an inner light generating module having a housing, battery, lamp and switch member, and an outer protective cover. The housing has upper and lower surfaces and defines a central opening through the upper surface and a cavity below and in communication with the central opening. The battery is mounted in the cavity. The lamp has a bulb element and upper and lower conductive lead elements extending therefrom receiving the battery therebetween.

Abstract: A flat flashlight device includes an inner casing, a light generating bulb having a pair of spaced apart leads and a battery disposed between the leads, a middle folded card insert, an outer protective cover and an end cap. The inner casing includes upper and lower plates attachable to one another and together defining a cavity. The middle folded card insert extends over and substantially overlies the upper and lower plates of the inner casing and the outer protective cover has an open end and defines a pocket receiving the middle folded card insert, bulb, battery and inner casing. The end cap includes top and bottom cap members attachable to one another and together defining a cavity and a hole. The cavity receives portions of the outer protective cover, middle folded card insert and inner casing and in combination with the outer protective cover encloses the middle folded card insert, bulb and battery and inner casing. The hole in the end cap may receive a key ring therethrough.
