  • Patent number: 11723520
Abstract: A probe includes an articulating member with at least two vertebrae elements sequentially arranged along a long axis of the elongate ultrasound imaging probe. The articulating member includes pivots located between the at least two vertebrae elements. The pivots are disposed off-center relative to the at least two vertebrae elements. The pivots are spatially oriented to provide a pivot point for a different articulation direction of a vertebra element. The probe further includes a plurality of guides, including at least one guide for each of the respective different pivot directions. The probe further includes an actuator with a set of controls, each control configured to actuate a different pair of the plurality of guides for controlling opposing articulation directions, wherein the actuator reduces stress induced on at least one of a pushed guide or a non-activated guide, wherein the stress is induced in response to the actuator pulling a guide.

  • Patent number: 8282613
Abstract: A disposable urine bag is provided. The bag includes an upper delimiting edge, a lower delimiting edge and lateral delimiting edges defining a space in the bag. The lower delimiting edge includes a drain valve, whose first drain mouthing in a first hollow element communicates with the space in the bag, and whose second mouthing in a second element is situated outside the delimiting edges of the bag. The drain valve is a disposable valve including a seal between the first and the second element and at least one indicator situated in the area of the seal. A disposable urine bag is provided whereby the drain valve seal may be broken without using significant finger strength and without a risk of the user being soiled with urine.

  • Patent number: 7802824
Abstract: A connecting piece for a tubing including a first unit and a second unit is provided. The first unit includes a first connecting element for a tubing element and a second connecting part for the second unit. The second connecting element includes a tubular female part for engagement with the second unit and first sealing elements, and the second unit includes a tubular male part with a collar and second sealing elements for cooperating with the first sealing elements. The first and second units further include separator elements. The first sealing elements and the second sealing elements are configured for mutual locking engagement by moving a male part and a female part axially towards each other.
