  • Patent number: 10381041
Abstract: A system and method for automated video editing. A reference media is selected and analyzed. At least one video may be acquired, and thereby synced to the reference audio media. Once synced, audio analysis is used to assemble an edited video. The audio analysis can include information, including user inputs, video analysis, and metadata. The system and method for automated video editing may be applied to collaborative creation, simulated stop motion animation, and real-time implementations.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 16, 2016
Date of Patent: August 13, 2019
    Assignee: Shimmeo, Inc.

  • Patent number: 8732247
Abstract: A system and method of simultaneous collaboration is described. The described systems and methods can work with virtually any document structure and do not require advance locking. A plurality of possibly hierarchical, possibly overlapping domains within the document structure is defined. The server handling the simultaneous collaboration requests must keep track of conflicts in edits using the domain information and inform clients whether the edits have been accepted or rejected based on whether or not the edits cause conflicts. A well-designed domain structure as described will avoid conflicts.

  • Publication number: 20130145145
Abstract: A system and method for increasing security of data is presented. This system uses a remote server to increase the security of locally stored data, even in the presence of physical and software security threats. This method is significantly bolstered when at least a small portion of memory on the local machine used to temporarily store the encryption key is safe from physical and software attacks and can be further bolstered if user-interaction is required upon authentication.

  • Publication number: 20110035030
Abstract: A request to normalize at least one media file is received. A peak amplitude associated with the at least one media file is determined, and a target maximum volume associated with playback of the at least one media file is also determined. The at least one media file is played, and a constant scaling factor is applied to the at least one media file substantially concurrently with playback, the scaling factor calculated to cause the peak amplitude to play at the target maximum volume.

  • Publication number: 20110035667
Abstract: A request to import a media file is received, and a first piece of meta information associated with the media file is read. A user may then edit a representation of the media file while at least one background task is performed to complete the import of the media file. After performing the at least one background task, enhanced editing functionality is provided.
