  • Publication number: 20240151171
Abstract: A control device and a method for controlling an exhaust gas aftertreatment system comprising a diesel particulate filter is provided. The method comprises a step of, in response to a determination that a temperature of an exhaust gas entering the diesel particulate filter is equal to or below 325° C., controlling a NOx concentration of the exhaust gas entering the diesel particulate filter to be equal to or less than 600 ppm. An exhaust gas aftertreatment system as well as a vehicle comprising the control device are also described.

  • Patent number: 11035274
Abstract: A method (and a system that executes the method) for control of at least one sectional ammonia coverage degree profile NH3_profile for at least one SCR catalyst included in an exhaust gas treatment system, the method includes determining at least one ammonia sectional coverage degree profile NH3_profile_det for the at least one SCR catalyst based on a flow F, a temperature T and a composition C of the exhaust stream upstream of the at least one SCR catalyst. The method also includes comparing the at least one sectional ammonia coverage NH3_profile_ref with at least one sectional reference profile for an ammonia coverage degree NH3_profile_ref for the at least one SCR catalyst. The method further includes controlling, based on the comparison, at least one of a concentration of nitrogen oxides CNOX in the exhaust stream to be output from the combustion engine and a dosage of a reductant including ammonia NH3 to be injected into the exhaust stream upstream of the at least one SCR catalyst.

  • Patent number: 7877983
Abstract: An arrangement for supplying a medium to an exhaust line of a combustion engine. The arrangement comprises a first exhaust passage defined by at least a first wall surface of an element, and a dosing device supplying the medium to the first exhaust passage. The arrangement is adapted to maintaining a degree of heating of the first wall surface so that the latter will be at a higher temperature than the medium's vaporization point when the liquid medium is supplied in the first exhaust passage. Therefore, even the medium which reaches the first wall surface will vaporize in the first exhaust passage.

  • Patent number: 7559194
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device (10) for controlling the injection of reducing agent upstream from a catalyst (4) in an exhaust line (2) from a combustion engine. According to the invention, the injection of reducing agent in the exhaust line is controlled on the basis of result of comparison between a calculated accumulation actual value (A1) and a calculated accumulation setpoint value (A2). The invention also relates to a computer program comprising program code for implementing said method, a computer program product comprising a medium which is readable by an electronic control unit and has stored on it a computer program intended to cause an electronic control unit to implement said method, and an electronic control unit.

  • Publication number: 20070010020
Abstract: A method and a device for monitoring the functioning of an SCR catalyst in the exhaust line of a combustion engine, whereby a temperature value representing the temperature of exhaust gases flowing out of the SCR catalyst is calculated by use of a calculation model and is compared with a temperature value measured in the exhaust line downstream from the SCR catalyst. A computer program comprising program codes for implementation of the method, a medium readable by computer and having stored on it a computer program which is intended to enable a computer to implement said method, and an electronic control unit.
