  • Publication number: 20240016452
Abstract: A catheter assembly or other elongate tubular device for use in establishing vascular or other access within the body of a patient is disclosed. The catheter assembly is equipped with one or more sensors that enable monitoring of one or more physiological aspects of the patient or physical aspect of the catheter assembly itself when the catheter assembly is disposed within the patient. Such aspects include central venous pressure, body temperature, ECG heart signals, oxygen levels, ultrasound data, glucose, etc. The catheter assembly includes the ability to wirelessly transmit or otherwise forward data relating to the detected physiological parameters to another location, such as a patient electronic medical record, smartphone or other mobile device, nurse station, etc. Catheter assemblies configured to detect the frequency of catheter flushing, flushing quality, etc., are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11727929
Abstract: Voice command matching during testing of voice-assisted application prototypes for languages with non-phonetic alphabets is described. A visual page of an application prototype is displayed during a testing phase of the application prototype. A speech-to-text service converts a non-phonetic voice command spoken in a language with a non-phonetic alphabet, captured by at least one microphone during the testing phase of the application prototype, into a non-phonetic text string in the non-phonetic alphabet of the voice command. A phonetic language translator translates the non-phonetic text string of the voice command into a phonetic text string in a phonetic alphabet of the voice command. A comparison module compares the phonetic text string of the voice command to phonetic text strings in the phonetic alphabet of stored voice commands associated with the application prototype to identify a matching voice command. A performance module performs an action associated with the matching voice command.

  • Publication number: 20210378593
Abstract: A venous catheter assembly includes a hub with opposing suture wings, an extension leg coupled to the hub, and an elongate catheter tube designed for insertion into a blood vessel of a patient. The elongate catheter tube is coupled to the hub and includes at least one fluid-carrying lumen within the outer wall extending between a proximal end and a distal end of the elongate catheter tube. The fluid-carrying lumen is in fluid communication with the extension leg and an opening in the outer wall at the distal end of the elongate catheter tube. The elongate catheter tube also includes at least one terminating lumen within the outer wall extending to a closed termination point.

  • Patent number: 10964322
Abstract: A voice interaction tool for voice-assisted application prototypes is described. A visual page of an application prototype is displayed in a design interface. The design interface is controlled to provide an interaction interface to receive a trigger and an associated action for the visual page of the application prototype. The trigger may correspond to one of a voice command, a user gesture, or a time delay, and the action may correspond to one of a speech response, a page transition to an additional visual page of the application prototype, or playback of a media file. User input is received to provide the trigger and the action, and associated interaction data is generated to include the trigger, the action, and the visual page of the application prototype. The associated interaction data is stored to enable testing of the trigger and the action during a testing phase of the application prototype.

  • Patent number: 10908883
Abstract: A voice interaction development tool is described. Initially, user input associating voice interaction data with a visual object is received via a user interface. The voice interaction data, for example, may include voice commands and corresponding output content. Subsequently, a request is received from a voice assistant platform, due to initiation via a voice command to the voice assistant platform. In real-time (e.g., as the user speaks the voice command) a visual object corresponding to the spoken voice command is graphically indicated, e.g., a flow diagram element corresponding to the voice command is emphasized. In real-time as output content corresponding to the voice command is output by a voice assistant device, the user interface provides a graphical indication of the visual object associated with the output content. In this way, the described system provides graphical feedback for testing voice interactions being developed.

  • Patent number: 10847156
Abstract: Assembled voice interaction techniques are leveraged in a digital medium environment. During a voice interaction with a voice assistant platform, user portions and voice assistant portions of a voice interaction with a voice assistant platform are received and stored in a sequential order. The user portions of the voice interaction, for example, may correspond to audio data or text data indicative of speech included as part of a request to the voice assistant platform. In contrast, the voice assistant portions of the voice interaction may correspond to output content returned by the voice assistant platform for output as part of a response to the request. An assembled voice interaction file is assembled by interleaving the stored user portions of the voice interaction with the stored voice assistant portions of the voice interaction based on the sequential order.

  • Patent number: 10290089
Abstract: Systems and methods are used to determine the location and severity of harmful algal blooms or other water quality parameters. GPS location information is transmitted from a mobile device and recent Satellite image data and water quality parameters are provided to the mobile device. Data regarding other locations, historical water quality parameters and algorithm based predictive results are provided for the end user. This provides for near-real time information allowing users to make decisions regarding fishing, beach closures, municipal water intake, etc. so as to avoid toxic effects of a harmful algal bloom.

  • Publication number: 20170273628
Abstract: A catheter assembly including an elongate catheter tube is disclosed. The number of lumens defined by the catheter tube can vary as a function of longitudinal length along the catheter tube. For instance, the catheter tube can define three lumens from the proximal end of the catheter tube and terminate one of the lumens at an intermediate termination point such that only two lumens are defined further distally along the catheter tube. A sensor can be placed in the terminating lumen so as to isolate it from the other lumens and from blood or other body fluids while still enabling the sensor to reside within the patient body when the catheter tube is positioned in the patient for use. In addition to this, various other lumen transition and sensor configurations are disclosed.
