    Abstract: Light fixtures with flexible luminaire arrangements and ultraviolet emitters designed to more closely mimic some of the desirable lighting characteristics of natural sunlight. In some embodiment, LEDs emitting in the UVB spectrum are mounted in the luminaire along with LED based luminaires emitting in other emission spectrum. The light from the UVB and other luminaires illuminate plants below to enhance growth characteristics. The UVB luminaires can be mounted in different locations and their emission can be controllable to match the desired plant growth conditions.

    Abstract: Devices described in the present disclosure can include a lighting device with adjustable uplight bars. In one embodiment, the adjustable uplight bars can comprise a plurality of light sources configured to display emitted light upwards and can be connected to an arm by an elbow joint, such that the adjustable uplight bars can rotate. In another embodiment, the adjustable uplight bars can comprise a plurality of optic caps placed over the plurality of light sources to produce a desired beam spread pattern for the emitted light. Therefore, each uplight bar can be individually customized to accommodate different positions of the lighting device in relation to the ceiling. In yet another embodiment, the adjustable uplight bars can be configured to project an image onto a surface such as a ceiling, allowing graphics to be displayed.

    Abstract: Methods for replacing conventional light fixtures with solid state light fixtures are disclosed that can comprise selecting a replacement area comprising a plurality of conventional lamps. A sample of the plurality of conventional lamps in the replacement area is selected. The emission characteristics for each of the sample plurality of conventional lamps is measured. The conventional lamp emission characteristics are matched to emission characteristics of replacement LED lamps. All of the conventional lamps within said light replacement area are replaced with the replacement LED lamps. The emission characteristics of the LED replacement lamps at each of said locations of the sample plurality of conventional lamps are measured. The sample conventional lamp emission characteristics are compared to the LED replacement lamp characteristics to confirm that they are the same or are within an acceptable deviation.
