  • Patent number: 6597672
Abstract: In a mobile communication network, the chance of achieving multichannel connections is increased by determining if certain physical channels should be made idle to facilitate multi-channel connections and marking the channels that should be made idle. The marked channels may be moved actively, in which case the channels to which connections should be moved are selected, and the moving of connections to the selected channels is initiated. The marking and/or moving of the connection or connections is initiated, for example, when a predetermined number of attempts to allocate multichannel connections have failed, or when the network situation is such that the chance of establishing multichannels is low and should be increased, or when an establishment of multichannel connection is attempted unsuccessfully.

  • Patent number: 6398771
Abstract: A flexible transparent container for improved storage of oxygen sensitive parenterally administerable agents comprising an inner, primary container enclosed in a substantially oxygen impermeable outer envelope with an oxygen absorber, capable of consuming essentially all residual oxygen after the outer envelope is sealed, and for sufficient period also the oxygen penetrating said envelope. The inner container is made of a polypropylene containing flexible polymeric material compatible with lipophilic agents capable of forming both permanent and peelable seals, while the envelope is made of a substantially water impermeable flexible multilayered polymeric material comprising a first outer substantially water impermeable polymeric film with oxygen barrier forming capacity, assembled with a second, inner polymeric film with a supplementary oxygen barrier forming capacity. The container essentially maintains its characteristics after being subjected to sterilization by steam or radiation.

  • Patent number: 6344072
Abstract: A moisture-absorbing device comprises a plastic tube (1), which is made of flexible plastic sheet and which in its longitudinal direction is divided into an upper chamber containing a moisture-absorbing agent (16) and a liquid-collecting lower chamber communicating with the upper chamber. The plastic tube (1) has an opening on a level with the upper chamber. A netting element (7), which has a netting portion (8), is attached to the plastic tube (1) in such a manner that the netting portion (8) is positioned in front of the opening. The plastic tube (1) is closed at its lower end, thereby enabling collection of liquid in the lower chamber. The moisture-absorbing agent (16) is included in a filtering tube (15), which is made of an air- as well as liquid-permeable filtering material and which is arranged in the upper chamber substantially in front of the opening.

  • Patent number: 6061559
Abstract: A method and system used in a mobile telecommunications network for reconnecting at least one of a plurality of low priority calls that were disconnected due to preemption by high priority call(s) are disclosed. The system includes a queue for arranging the plurality of low priority calls. The system further includes a controller coupled to the queue for determining whether a traffic channel was located within a predetermined amount of time for use by the low priority call. The traffic channel may be located within one of a plurality of neighboring cells or within a current cell. If the traffic channel was located within the predetermined amount of time, then the controller will remove the low priority call from the queue and automatically reconnect the disconnected call using the located traffic channel.

  • Patent number: 5044586
Abstract: A manipulator for a transducer detector for indication of cracks and the like in hot metallic blanks, has the transducer driven relative to the blank by means of a car, a slide or other transducer carrier, which is placed inside or near a tube extending in the required scanning direction relative to the blank and being raisable and lowerable relative to the blank.
