    Abstract: In a down-hole well arrangement, an insert pump having a pump barrel is provided, the pump barrel having a top end and a bottom end. Tubing for the down-hole well is also provided, the tubing including one or more tubing members, a seating nipple, and a tubular member having a first end attached to the seating nipple and a second end. A pump-packing device is provided, the pump-packing device having a tubular body having a bottom end attached to the second end of the tubular member and a top end attached to one of the one or more tubing members. The pump-packing device includes one or more annular spacer members, the spacer members being disposed inside the tubular body and having a first inside diameter, and one or more annular flexible elements supported inside the tubular body by the spacer members and having a second inside diameter smaller than the first inside diameter, the second inside diameter being sufficiently large to permit the pump barrel to be removably inserted through the flexible elements.

    Abstract: A fishing tool for retrieving broken or lost implements from a drilled hole includes a one-piece body having a bore extending from one end to the other. Oppositely positioned and inwardly directed male keys extend from the inner surface of the bore. The male keys extend along a substantial portion of the length of the bore and engage oppositely positioned portions of a catch slip. The catch slip is slidable along the length of the bore and is guided by the male keys and supported by the inner surface of the bore. The lower end of the body may be provided with a removable guide bushing and a removable guide for retaining the guide bushing in place at the lower end of the body. A front face of the catch slip may be provided with a buttress thread for firmly grasping the implement being retrieved and for permitting the grasped implement to be released while it is still in the hole through rotation of the tool.

    Abstract: A Christmas tree stand which is readily adjustable to straighten a Christmas tree. A ball member which is affixed to the base of a tree is inserted into an opened clamp held by the stand. The tree is adjusted for straightness after which the clamp is locked about the ball member. The clamp may be closed by a foot pedal while the user holds and straightens the tree.
