Abstract: A solution useful in oxygenating and purifying water and other fluids is disclosed. The solution is comprised of water, sulfuric acid and sodium carbonate. The three components are mixed such that the pH of the solution is between 2 and 5. The active ingredients in the solution comprise approximately 6 percent of the solution. This solution is also sunlight activated, in that the solution acts to purify and oxygenate water to which it is added in an accelerated manner when exposed to sunlight. When added to water in which fish have been living, for example, which typically contains undesirable quantities of nitrates and nitrites which poison the fish, the present solution produces such substances as ammonium sulfide, ammonium carbonate and hydrogen sulfide, which are removed from the solution by precipitation and evaporation. The solution may be added to salt or fresh water in a ratio of from 16 ounces to 32 ounces per 100 gallons to oxygenate the water in which fish are living without killing the fish.

Abstract: Soil moisture control system senses subsoil moisture by AC conductivity and turns on irrigation valve when the sensor indicates the need for additional moisture. An adjustment is connected to the sensor to adjust the level at which adequate soil moisture is signaled.

Abstract: An electrically operated valve controls the flow of irrigation water. A clock controls the time of day and maximum irrigation time. The clock signal is serially connected through a control circuit which senses subterranean moisture and prevents solenoid actuation when moisture is adequate.

Abstract: The composition and method are for waterways, usually closed cycle, in which algae and the like is to be killed without harm to higher animal life. The composition includes a violet dye to enhance ultraviolet light penetration from the prevailing light to enter the waterway. This ultraviolet light, with reduction in visible light, causes algae death. It also increases free oxygen, neutralizes some toxins, and reduces admission of infrared radiation. The composition includes an enzyme which digests the dead algae and similar material. The products of digestion are such as to leave clean water. A blue dye may optionally be used to hide the violet color of the water in the visible part of the spectrum.
