  • Patent number: 4407553
Abstract: An electrical connector is disclosed which includes a receptacle in which a special threaded connection is provided between a body member of insulating material and a hollow housing member. The body member is formed from two molded parts in a manner such that a thread is provided when the two parts are secured together. A locking member is provided which also serves to provide a reliable grounding of a grounding contact.

  • Patent number: 4401357
Abstract: A connector assembly is disclosed which includes a plug having a body of insulating material which is replaceably but securely held in a housing by means of an insert spring. A clip is provided for securely holding the end of a cable to the housing and contacts are disclosed having pressure strips for engagement with the conductors of wires.

  • Patent number: 4221158
Abstract: A spring brake actuator including an advantgeously formed housing having a longitudinally extending cavity therein for retaining a bolt useful in releasing spring induced brake application, and apparaus for selectively communicating fluid from one side of a spring piston of the actuator to the other side of that piston through the cavity.

  • Patent number: 4147394
Abstract: A vehicle pneumatic brake system is disclosed wherein a transfer valve of advantageous design responsive to supply pressure is employed to provide service pressure to an anti-lock, pressure modulating valve for so long as supply pressure is greater than a preset minimum and to provide pressure from a protected reservoir (tank) to the anti-lock, pressure modulating valve when supply pressure is below such minimum value.

  • Patent number: 4058345
Abstract: A valve for controlling the operation of spring brake chambers in spring brake actuators used in tractor-trailer combinations. The valve is adapted for use with two spring brake actuators and two sources of supply pressure and includes an integral check valve for permitting fluid to flow from either source into the valve but from neither source into the other source. The valve further includes apparatus for alternately providing communication between output port(s) to the spring brake actuators and the check valve or an exhaust port.

  • Patent number: 4045768
Abstract: A low pressure selector for communicating therethrough fluid from the lower pressure source of a pair of pressure sources includes a housing with input ports for connection to the pressure sources and an output port. A piston member is mounted within a cavity, advantageously formed by walls of the housing, for reciprocating movement therein in response to pressure supplied from the pair of pressure sources to the input ports. Sealing members provided on the piston member cooperatively operate with the walls of the housing cavity and the piston member, to effectuate communication of fluid from the lower pressure source to the output port. The low pressure selector is advantageously employed in a vehicle pneumatic brake system to communicate the fluid from the lower pressure source of first and second sources of supply pressure of the system to a low pressure responsive monitor which warns the operator of the vehicle of a drop in supply pressure from either source below a preset minimum.

  • Patent number: 4037907
Abstract: A tractor-trailer electrical receptacle is disclosed wherein a housing contains a cavity having a plurality of male contact members mounted therein; the cavity is adapted for receiving a mating electrical plug. A mounting member connected to the housing is adapted for mounting the housing at an angle inclined to the horizontal to promote drainage of any moisture in the cavity away from the contact members. A support member extends forwardly from the housing to provide such support for an electrical plug mated with the receptacle as minimizes the effects of vehicle vibration upon such plug. A cover is connected to said housing and urged by a spring to close the cavity when a plug is not inserted in the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4024604
Abstract: A clamp is provided for securing a plurality of elongated articles in a spaced relationship; the clamp includes a base provided with standards which have recesses or wells therein and which mutually define a recess therebetween to accept such articles of a plurality of sizes. In addition the clamp includes a pair of straps, one of which is connected to the base at one end thereof and includes a tongue and fastening sections; the other strap is connected to the other end of the base and includes complementary channel and fastening sections for mating with the tongue and fastening section of the former strap.
