  • Publication number: 20200126557
Abstract: The present invention provides a speech intention expression system including a sensor part which is adjacent to one surface of the head and neck of a speaker and measures physical characteristics of articulators, a data interpretation part which grasps articulatory features of the speaker on the basis of the position of the sensor part and the physical characteristics of the articulators, a data conversion part which converts the position of the sensor part and the articulatory features to speech data, and a data expression part which expresses the speech data to the outside, wherein the sensor part includes an oral tongue sensor corresponding to the oral tongue.

  • Patent number: 10478286
Abstract: An artificial vestibular organ system includes an artificial semicircular canal; a liquid filled in the artificial semicircular canal; artificial hair for sensing movement of liquid in the artificial semicircular canal; a signal conversion unit for converting an electrical or magnetic signal generated from the artificial hair into a body stimulation signal; a body stimulation pulse generation unit for transmitting the body stimulation pulse converted by the signal conversion unit to the ampulla; and a power unit. The artificial hair can be constituted in a pressure sensing manner or in a speed sensing manner for sensing the flow rate. The pressure sensing type can be formed of flex sensor, a piezoelectric sensor, or an FSR sensor, and the velocity sensing type can include rotary wings rotated according to the flow of the liquid or a speed measuring instrument for measuring the rotating speed of the rotary wings.

  • Patent number: 9056951
Abstract: A stiff layered polymer nanocomposite comprising a substrate adapted to receive a plurality of alternating layers of a first material and a second material; wherein the first material and second material are a polyelectrolyte, an organic polymer or an inorganic colloid and said first material and said second material have a chemical affinity for each other, said plurality of layers crosslinked using a chemical or physical crosslinking agent. Thin films that are consolidated and optionally crosslinked can be manufactured into hierarchical laminates with rigid and stress resistant properties.

  • Publication number: 20100098902
Abstract: Methods are provided for making layer-by-layer assemblies that comprise axial geometry nanoparticles. Such methods include forming a first layer on a substrate that comprises an axial nanoparticle, forming a second layer on the substrate that comprises an axial nanoparticle, where the first and second layers are aligned to respective first and second orientations. The disclosure also provides for multilayer materials having a first layer including a first polyelectrolyte and a first axial geometry nanoparticle which is substantially aligned along a first orientation. The multilayer material also includes a second layer including a second polyelectrolyte and a second axial geometry nanoparticle species having axial geometry, where the second nanoparticle species is substantially aligned along a second orientation which is distinct from the first orientation.
