  • Patent number: 4671487
Abstract: A gate valve has a housing provided with a passage embraced by a valve seat for a fluid medium, carrying solid particles, to flow therethrough. A gate is provided which is connected to a rod of a drive through a beam member. A hole in the beam member receives a shank with a clearance extending axially of the rod. Ends of the beam are pliable in an axial direction relative the passage and the beam ends have bevels to engage with stops of the housing. The housing has a projection to limit the travel of the gate axially of the rod.

  • Patent number: 4635900
Abstract: A gate valve used in pipeline transfer operations comprises a housing having a passage for conveying a fluid medium carrying solid particles, and a gate which is connected to a drive shaft for opening and closing the passage through an articulating joint made up of two elements. The first element of this joint is rigidly connected to the shaft and arranged with a clearance relative to the gate. The second element is rigidly connected to the gate and disposed with a clearance relative to the first element. Slots are provided in one of these elements to communicate the clearances with the passage for evacuating solids therefrom. The gate valve ensures tight closing of the passage by the gate and has a long service life.

  • Patent number: 4534540
Abstract: A gate valve having a casing, a seat, a gate having a tapered face made in the gate surface in the direction of its movement in the shut-off direction on the side opposite to the side facing toward the seat, a stop provided for engaging the tapered face of the gate, the stop being secured to a rod which is installed transversely of the centerline of a passage of the casing, a sleeve installed in the casing wall for rotation relative to the casing, the inner surface of the sleeve being coaxial with, and surrounding the rod, and the longitudinal centerline of the outer surface of the sleeve being eccentric with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rod.

  • Patent number: 4506865
Abstract: A valve housing has butt pipes for connection to a pipeline for defining therewith a passage for a flow of a fluid being conveyed, preferably of a slurry. A plurality of ribs are provided along the passage on the lower portion of the wall thereof, each rib extending transversely of the passage. Each rib is of a tear-shaped configuration in its section taken along the longitudinal centerline of the passage, the enlarged portion of the rib facing toward the incoming flow of a fluid being conveyed.

  • Patent number: 4505452
Abstract: A gate valve for a pipeline has a housing with butt pipes which define a passage with the pipeline and a gate having a hole and engageable with a butt pipe for shutting-off the passage. The gate is connected at its ends to ends of drive rods accommodated in the housing. The gate and each of the rods have equal areas taken in cross-sections perpendicular to the axis of the rods. The ends of the gate and the ends of the rods connected thereto have shaped end faces facing toward each other and designed for the passage inside the housing of solid particles of a fluid being conveyed during reciprocations of the gate from a space partially occupied by the gate to a space being left by the rod adjacent thereto, and also from a space occupied by the other of the rods to a space being left by the part of the gate adjacent thereto.
