  • Patent number: 6305189
Abstract: An installation is described for continuous crystallization of liquids by freezing. The installation performs liquid preliminary cooling under predetermined temperature; adding gas into cooled liquid and their intermixing; delivering mixed liquid and gas through the refrigerated evaporator; winding round mixed liquid and gas into the refrigerated evaporator; a pumpless refrigeration circuit, including compressor, water condenser, cooling tower, indirect refrigerated evaporator, expansion valve, low pressure receiver and required refrigeration accessories, for the realization of cooling volumetric crystallization of liquid flowing through the refrigerated evaporator. These processes cause the formation of a bubble slurry with crystal nuclei, gas bubbles and concentrated, unfrozen liquid; preparation means are described for transportation and further storage or use of bubble slurry; immovable means are designed for feasible separation of pure fine crystals and mother concentrated liquid.

  • Patent number: 6119467
Abstract: An installation is described for continuous production of whipped ice from a below-zero crystallization temperature solution, including methods for delivering solution and gas through the evaporator; a closed refrigeration circuit for the realization of cooling and three-dimensional (volume) crystallization of ice within the gas-solution flowing through the evaporator. These processes cause the formation within the evaporator unit(s) of a partly frozen foam with ice nuclei and gas bubbles occupying a space and a continuous phase consisting of concentrated, unfrozen liquor; preparation means is described for transportation and further storage or use of whipped ice. A method for continuous production of whipped ice is also described.

  • Patent number: 5970732
Abstract: A system for continuous beverage cooling is provided with a chink evaporator heat exchanger having chink elements for receiving beverage from a beverage supplying unit, and for transferring of the beverage to a bottling or dispensing unit. Chink evaporator elements in the chink evaporator heat exchanger contain boiling refrigerant to produce refrigerant foam. In a liquid separator-regenerative heat exchanger the refrigerant foam is eliminating on refrigerant vapor and refrigerant liquid. The refrigerant vapor is used to cool the refrigerant liquid passing from condenser throw liquid separator into the chink evaporator elements. The outer surfaces of the chink elements are arranged in direct thermal contact with the chink evaporator elements to cool the beverage passing through the chink elements.
