    Abstract: A torque driver includes a driver arm with a pivot mounting hole formed adjacent one end, a driver spindle mounting slot or sockets spaced from the pivot mounting hole providing multiple mounting positions for retaining the driver spindle, and a locking detent. A locking element engages the locking detent, a load applicator generates a selected load onto the locking element, and a handle is pivotally attached to the driver arm at the pivot mounting hole and has finger groove for applying a tightening force. The locking detent, the locking element and the load applicator cooperate to permit relative movement between the driver arm and the handle when the tightening force applied at the finger groove is at a pre-determined value.

A light emitter of a first detection assembly transmits a first signal from emitter around the tire in to determine the height of the tire. A light receiver of the first detection assembly receives the transmitted first signal passed around the tire and forwards the first signal to a controller for evaluating the first signal and for determining a first configuration of the tire. A light emitter of a second detection assembly transmits a second signal around the tire in the direction transverse to the direction of the first signal. A light receiver of the second detection assembly receives the transmitted second signal. The second detection assembly is operably connected to the controller. The controller integrates the first and second signals for determining a third configuration of the part thereby identifying the part being evaluated.

    Abstract: An assembly for mating a tire with a wheel includes a conveyance device, which supports a device, i.e. first plate for supporting the wheel having spaced seats extending around a vertical axis. A tire support, i.e. second plate supports the tire having spaced beads on the wheel with one bead looped between the seats and outside the seats. A tool of the present invention forms the seats over the bead with the entire bead disposed between said seats. A tread support, i.e. a pair of walls spaced one from the other, are connected to the second plate for engaging the tread of the tire. The tire support includes connectors for adjusting the pair of walls horizontally to and away from the vertical axis. A side support, i.e. arms; are adjustably supported on the respective walls for engaging the side of the tire.

The locking member secures the second bell in the first bell position when the locking member is disposed in the first locking position. A first element is pivotably connected to a second element for simultaneously engaging the beads. The first element is moved with respect to the axis through pivoting motion of the second element in response to the radial displacements of the beads to generate a signal. The first element is operably connected to a first sensor for measuring the radial displacements of the beads. A tool for marking the wheel is operably connected to the first element. A controller is electronically connected to the mount assembly, the first element, and the first sensor, and the tool for integrating the signal and marking the wheel between the radial displacements of the beads.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for crowning a muzzle end of a firearm barrel includes inserting an elongated rod-like pilot stem with upper and lower ends into a barrel bore. The stem has an expandable collet slidably received thereon and a nut threadably attached to the lower end. A deformable body is attached to the nut to frictionally engage a bore wall to prevent rotation of the nut and permit rotation of the stem to expand the collet into contact with the bore wall. A cutting tool is rotated on the upper end of the stem to cut an end surface of the muzzle end.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for crowning a muzzle end of a firearm barrel includes inserting an elongated rod-like pilot stem with upper and lower ends into a barrel bore. The stem has an expandable collet slidably received thereon and a nut threadably attached to the lower end. A deformable body is attached to the nut to frictionally engage a bore wall to prevent rotation of the nut and permit rotation of the stem to expand the collet into contact with the bore wall. A cutting tool is rotated on the upper end of the stem to cut an end surface of the muzzle end.

    Abstract: A device for resurfacing the valve face of a poppet valve in which the pressure between a cutting surface and the valve face is controllable by the operator during the surfacing operation. A bearing case is rotatably attached to a base which is attached to a pair of gripping blocks. A cutting head is rotatably mounted on the bearing case. The cutting head, the bearing case, the base and the gripping blocks define a passage into which a valve stem is inserted. The gripping blocks are clamped in a vise which in turn clamps the valve stem in the device. When the bearing case is rotated, pressure between the cutting surface and the valve face is increased. When the cutting head is rotated, the valve face is resurfaced.
