  • Publication number: 20080020935
Abstract: A phonon maser is comprised of a resonant cavity, a superconductive gain medium, and pumping means. The resonant cavity is comprised of highly reflective means and partially reflective means. The superconductive gain medium is an elongated superconductor, which may be a crystalline high-temperature ceramic superconductor or a single-crystal superconductor. The pumping means provide electromagnetic energy for the superconductive gain medium in order to form and then excite Cooper pairs. Trapped in the resonant cavity and amplified by the population inversion, the resonating bundles of superposed free phonons eventually break through the partially reflective means and enter the vacuum of space in a collimated, coherent, and all-penetrating beam of bundles of superposed guest phonons. This beam changes properties of the ambient space, including its gravitational energy.

  • Publication number: 20060117925
Abstract: The rotary trimmer with switchable blades of the present invention comprises a base with end retainers moveably supporting a rail, and a cutting assembly disposed on the rail. The cutting assembly includes a switching mechanism to switch between different blades by turning a switch knob accessible outside the housing containing the switching mechanism and the blades. The different blades can have different cutting edges such as a straight, patterned, scalloped, pinking, wave, perforating, or zig-zag edge. Turning the switch knob rotates the desired blade into radial position and locates the desired blade axially over a cutting strip. A clutch engages the switching mechanism during cutting to prevent rotation or axial movement of the switching mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20060009897
Abstract: A control system performs a method for controlling pitching and bouncing of a vehicle having an engine driving wheels through a transmission, and having a fuel control unit for supplying a variable amount of fuel to the engine in response to fuel control signals generated by an engine control unit. The method includes, from front and rear acceleration signals, generating vehicle pitch and bounce signals, converting the pitch and bounce signals to RMS pitch and bounce values, generating a fuel offset value as a function of the RMS pitch and bounce values, and modifying fuel delivered to the engine as a function of the fuel offset value. The fuel offset value is operate don by a bi-linear gain function wherein negative values are multiplied by a larger gain and positive values are multiplied by a smaller gain.

  • Patent number: 6962737
Abstract: A simulated stained glass modular electroluminescent article is comprised of electroluminescent modules. Each module is comprised of electroluminophores arranged in a predetermined decorative pattern, a pair of electroconductive walls trapping these electroluminophores, and a plurality of lead-simulating strips coinciding with the boundaries of the electroluminophores. Under the application of electrical current, the flat panels or tree-dimensional articles constructed from the electroluminescent modules, emit light which is visually consistent with sunlight passing through a stained glass.

  • Patent number: 6960975
Abstract: A space vehicle propelled by the pressure of inflationary vacuum state is provided comprising a hollow superconductive shield, an inner shield, a power source, a support structure, upper and lower means for generating an electromagnetic field, and a flux modulation controller. A cooled hollow superconductive shield is energized by an electromagnetic field resulting in the quantized vortices of lattice ions projecting a gravitomagnetic field that forms a spacetime curvature anomaly outside the space vehicle. The spacetime curvature imbalance, the spacetime curvature being the same as gravity, provides for the space vehicle's propulsion. The space vehicle, surrounded by the spacetime anomaly, may move at a speed approaching the light-speed characteristic for the modified locale.

  • Publication number: 20050028663
Abstract: The rotary trimmer with multiple blades of the present invention comprises a base with end retainers supporting a rail, and a cutting assembly reclinably and slidably disposed on the rail. The different blades having different cutting edges such as a straight, wave, perforating, or zigzag edge, are rotatably mounted on the cutting assembly. The reclining of the cutting assembly provides for the engagement of the blade on the reclined side with the self-healing strip. The sliding of the said cutting assembly against the rail provides for cutting of paper or the like sheet material with the pre-selected blade.

  • Patent number: 5965897
Abstract: A high resolution x-ray imaging device based on a storage phosphor layer. The storage phosphor layer is sandwiched between two arrays of electrodes. In one embodiment of the device, the arrays are orthogonal arrays of linear electrodes, one of the arrays being transparent to the phosphorescence emitted by the storage phosphor. To read a pixel of a latent image stored in the storage phosphor layer, a voltage difference is established between two crossed electrodes that exceeds the threshold voltage of the storage phosphor material. The emitted light is detected by a device such as a CCD array that has coarser resolution than the crossed electrode array: the resolution of the imaging device of the present invention is the electrode width. Preferably, the electrodes are addressed for activation by optical scanning of photoconductive strips adjacent and perpendicular to the electrodes.
