  • Patent number: 11183348
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes a vacuum interrupter having a closed position and an open position. The circuit breaker includes a linkage operatively coupled to and extending from the vacuum interrupter and a high-speed actuator operatively connected to the linkage. The high-speed actuator is operable to move the linkage by a repulsion force and cause the vacuum interrupter to move to the open position. The circuit breaker includes a decelerator with an integrated latch assembly operatively coupled to the high-speed actuator. The decelerator decelerates the repulsion force of the high-speed actuator and latches the actuator with the integrated latch assembly to maintain the vacuum interrupter in the open position.

  • Patent number: 11069495
Abstract: A drive mechanism is for a vacuum switching apparatus. The vacuum switching apparatus has a stationary contact and a movable contact structured to move into and out of engagement with the stationary contact in order to connect and disconnect power, respectively. The drive mechanism includes a drive rod structured to drive the movable contact into and out of engagement with the stationary contact, the drive rod being movable along a longitudinal axis, and a number of toggle assemblies each having a component and a biasing element coupled to the component. The component is coupled to the drive rod. The biasing element is structured to bias the drive rod in a direction not coinciding with the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 10991533
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a conductive member for a circuit breaker high voltage portion conductor assembly, the conductive member including a body with a transfer portion and a coupling portion. The body transfer portion has an electro-thermally efficient contour. That is, the body transfer portion has an electrically efficient contour and a thermally efficient contour. The body transfer portion includes a number of slots defining fins. In this configuration, the body transfer portion distributes current generally evenly across a cross-sectional area of the conductive member body. Further, the fins provide heat dissipation via convection.

  • Patent number: 10613133
Abstract: Ground and test devices (G&TD) have an interchangeable test configuration using serially releasably mountable first and second ground assemblies and releasably mounted primary arm conductors thereby allowing for onsite field modification of a base test unit for use to test either the load side or line side terminals without requiring two separate base test devices providing an economic and less bulky test solution for end users.

  • Patent number: 10614987
Abstract: A manual opening assembly includes a manual actuator assembly. The manual actuator assembly includes a handle assembly and a number of operating levers. The handle assembly includes a handle member structured to be movably coupled to a circuit breaker housing assembly and to move between an operating position and an opening position. The handle member is operatively coupled to the number of operating levers. The number of operating levers are movably coupled to a circuit breaker housing assembly. The operating levers are structured to move between an operating position, wherein the operating levers do not operatively engage a linkage assembly, and an opening position, wherein the operating levers operatively engage the linkage assembly and move the linkage assembly from a closed, second configuration to an open, first configuration.
