  • Patent number: 8159521
Abstract: An advanced video teleconferencing system facilitates an engaging and realistic video conferencing experience. Key design elements and video, audio, and control capabilities are provided for a video conferencing experience that cannot be attained with conventional methods, which elements and capabilities include careful design of the table and room at each site, supplementary displays showing imagery in a mirrored manner, networked environmental control, an AutoDirector with keyword and gesture recognition, and audio reflection from a display or beam splitter.

  • Publication number: 20110099172
Abstract: A system and process to allow more accurate tracking of attention received by an electronic document via a display screen. The process, and the system that implements the process: maps a machine readable document into data segments; defines a list of data segment indicators corresponding to the data segments; determines a portion of the machine readable document truncated to a occupy view port; and associates an attention value with the data segment indicators corresponding to the presence of the data segments available to the view port. The present invention may further utilize the track list to monitor the availability of machine readable documents, truncated or not, in the view port, and tint the machine readable document accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20110099468
Abstract: A document display system and method for enhancing the effectiveness of a user interface includes one or more tiles, a spatial modifier, and a variable display region. Document data of multiple abstraction levels is obtained and represented at one of the abstraction levels in a document representation within a variable display region of the tile. The tile can be spatially modified by position and dimension having a tile position and tile dimensions. Upon escaping a particular range of tile dimensions, the document representation alters the abstraction level portrayed therein.

  • Publication number: 20080002344
Abstract: An ergonomic visual display system having two video display screens, one located immediately beneath the other. The video display screens each rotate to accommodate an acute configuration with respect to a user's vision. The means for rotating the screens may involve a rotating attachment between screens, or involve a rotating attachment to a stand.

  • Patent number: 6996715
Abstract: A method for authenticating and logging-in a first user of a communication system to a second user is performed using hashing operations in such a manner that the first user's unique identifier is not stored on the first user's computer, and the second user's computer does not store information which allows a hacker gaining access thereto to assume the identity of the first user.
