  • Patent number: 9120619
Abstract: A modular tank comprises a plurality of panels positioned on the ground or another surface to form sides of a containment wall. Each panel comprises: i) a side wall section having a trapezoidal shape; and ii) a frame assembly connected to the side wall section and configured to support the side wall section such that a first base of the trapezoid shape is disposed proximate a base of the containment wall and a second base of the trapezoid shape is supported in an elevated position to form part of an upper perimeter of the containment wall. The modular tank also includes a liner configured to be disposed on at least one of the containment wall and the ground surface to thereby form a barrier for containing fluid in the modular tank. Depending on whether the first base of a panel is wider or narrower than the second base, panels may be aligned to form straight walls or curved walls, thereby enabling the modular tank to assume different shapes.

  • Patent number: 4366650
Abstract: An arrangement to support a drawworks and drilling mast in elevated position during drilling operations and which also functions to transport the drawworks and drilling mast includes a base support and an elevated support with jacks pivotally conncted to the base support and the elevatable support and extending herebetween. Wheels are mounted on the elevatable support for transporting the base support elevatable support, the drilling mast and drawworks carried on the elevatable support. Brace members are pivotally connected between the base support and elevatable support to retain the elevatable support in elevated position during drilling operations.

  • Patent number: 4221088
Abstract: Low level base means extend longitudinally on the earth's surface. Drilling mast support means are positioned adjacent and pivotally connected to the base means and setback tower means are pivotally connected to the mast support means and to the base means. Drilling mast means are secured to the mast support means. Lifting frame means are connected to the drilling mast support means whereby said drilling mast support means, mast connected thereto and setback tower means may be simultaneously elevated from a reclined position to an upright position on the base means. Cable means may be secured at one end to the lifting frame means and extended around sheave means on the base means over sheave means on the lifting frame means and under sheave means on the mast support means and then connected at its other end with any suitable power source to exert a pull on the cable and elevate the mast support, mast and setback tower to an upright position on the base means where the mast may be secured in upright position.

  • Patent number: 4138805
Abstract: A first and second mobile trailer means are secured together for forming a base substructure support for a mast, setback tower and drawworks. A working floor is provided in elevated position above the base substructure support when the mast, setback tower and drawworks is in position to conduct well operations. The telescoping mast and setback structure is pivotally carried on the first trailer means and a drawworks is pivotally carried by the second trailer means. A power and rig up arrangement is provided to elevate in a desired sequence the mast, setback structure and drawworks to a desired position for securing on the base substructure support formed by the first and second trailer means for conducting well operations.
