Abstract: A compliance determination and enforcement platform is described. A plurality of factors are stored in association with each of a plurality of accounts. A factor entering module enters factors from each user account into a compliance score model. The compliance score model determines a compliance score for each one of the accounts based on the respective factors associated with the respective account. A comparator compares the compliance score for each account with a compliance reference score to determine a subset of the accounts that fail compliance and a subset of the accounts that meet compliance. A flagging unit flags the user accounts that fail compliance to indicate non-compliant accounts. A corrective action system allows for determining, for each one of the accounts that is flagged as non-compliant, whether the account is bad or good, entering the determination into a feedback system and closing the account.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are scientific instrument support systems, as well as related methods, computing devices, and computer-readable media. For example, in some embodiments, a support apparatus is provided for a scientific instrument. The support apparatus s configured to generate, using a machine-learning model, one or more identified features in an image of a set of images acquired via a scientific instrument. The support apparatus is also configured to determine whether the set of images satisfies one or more selection criteria and assign the set of images, including the one or more identified features, to a training dataset in response to a determination that the set of images satisfies the one or more selection criteria. The support apparatus is also configured to retrain the machine-learning model using the training dataset. A method performed via a computing device for providing scientific instrument support is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to small sample spots for MALDI targets and methods for producing the same. The sample spots are composed of a layer of matrix material and a layer of analyte. In some instances, the samples spots have diameters of no more than 50 micrometers or even smaller. The sample spots are deposited onto a MALDI target substrate using ultrasonic deposition from a nozzle.
