Abstract: Described are embodiments of methods, apparatuses, and systems for link power management in an I/O interconnect. An apparatus for link power management in an I/O interconnect of a computer apparatus may include a switching fabric having a first switch and a second switch, configured to simultaneously transport first data packets over a first path of a link between a port of the first switch and a port of the second switch and second data packets over a second path of the link. The apparatus may include a power management unit configured to modify a power state of the port of the first switch based at least in part on relative power states of the first path and the second path. Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided to detect a coupling of a first cable plug to a bimodal host receptacle and to configure a function of the bimodal host receptacle based at least in part on a first cable plug, where if the first cable plug's relief is a different shape than a key, the bimodal host receptacle will act in a first function, wherein if the first cable plug's relief is a same shape as the key, then the bimodal host receptacle will act in a second function.

Abstract: A system and method for selecting a computer hardware component of a computing system to throttle based on a selection policy is disclosed. A co-thermal control system may receive a first signal indicating a first condition for a plurality of computer hardware components has occurred. The co-thermal control system may choose a course of action at least partially based upon the first signal using a table-based rule generator. The co-thermal control system may output instructions to participating components for the course of action.
