  • Publication number: 20210399541
Abstract: A drone is for installing an object on a power line. The drone has a connection means for connecting the drone to the object, so that the drone may carry the object. A first engagement member is for engaging a second engagement member on the object. A power source is for operating the first engagement member so as to actuate a locking means on the object, via the second engagement member, for securely locking the object to the power line. The drone further has a device for limiting one or more degrees of freedom of the object relative to the power line before engaging the locking means.

  • Publication number: 20200055416
Abstract: The invention concerns a multipurpose charging system suitable for supplying charging power to an electricity-powered vehicle. The charging system comprises a plurality of spaced apart fixtures, where each fixture comprises a power inlet for receiving electrical energy. At least one of the fixtures is an EVSE fixture comprising a control device system comprising an EVSE control device and an EV plug, where the EVSE control device is configured to charge, via the EV plug, a rechargeable battery powering the electricity-powered vehicle. The energy transfer from the EV plug to the battery may take place via a charging cable. The charging system further comprises a primary power source arranged outside the fixtures for supplying electric energy (PS) to the power inlet of each of the fixtures, one or more second electric loads arranged at least partly within at least one of the fixtures and a solid state transformer system arranged within the at least one EVSE fixture.

  • Patent number: 10547966
Abstract: Location based services to users of electric vehicles (114) are facilitated. Users that are in possession of a wireless communication device (116) may receive RF signals in the form of beacons (109) transmitted by an EVSE (102). The information contained in the signals may be used to facilitate for the user when the user wishes to take advantage of different services (132,134,136), nearby the EVSE (102) as well as further away from the EVSE (102).

  • Publication number: 20170057369
Abstract: A power supply system for converting and/or isolating charging power supplied to a vehicle charging system (VCS) within a battery operated vehicle. An isolation transformer allows electric isolation and/or voltage conversion between a primary power source (PPS) and the VCS. A terminal(s) of the transformer primary side is connectable to the PPS, and a terminal(s) of the transformer secondary side is connectable to the VCS. An EVSE control device is electrically connectable to the VCS. A data communication line connected to the EVSE control device and connectable to the VCS allows transmission of control signals to the VCS, monitoring coupling between secondary side and the VCS, and monitoring at least one parameter related to the charging status of the VCS during charging. The isolation transformer is a solid state transformer, and the isolation transformer and the EVSE control device constitutes an integrated unit, i.e., physically arranged in a common unit.
