Abstract: A Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) power sourcing equipment that is connected to an existing power supply and provides pass-through power for additional devices. The Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) power sourcing equipment eases the installation of PoE sourcing equipment in locations where networking infrastructure is not already in place. Further, the PoE sourcing equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention will not monopolize potentially valuable outlets. To further expand the use of many power-over-Ethernet devices at the same location, the appliance allows layered installation to facilitate multiple deployments simultaneously.
