  • Patent number: 11971245
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a broadhead for an arrow. The broadhead includes a first portion, as defined along a longitudinal axis of the broadhead. The first portion includes multiple cutting walls that extend radially from the longitudinal axis and define a first plurality of voids between the cutting walls. The outer edges of the cutting walls form edges of a generally pyramid-shaped volume that includes the first portion and the first plurality of voids. The broadhead also includes a second portion that abuts the first portion. The second portion includes multiple concave lopes defining a second plurality of voids. The concave lobes have an inner surface that extends radially outward from the first end along the longitudinal axis to an opposite, second end of the second portion.

  • Patent number: 11952573
Abstract: The present invention relates to compounds, compositions, and methods for the study, diagnosis, and treatment of traits, diseases and conditions that respond to the modulation of PHD2 gene expression and/or activity, and/or modulate a beta-catenin gene expression pathway. Specifically, the invention relates to double-stranded nucleic acid molecules including small nucleic acid molecules, such as short interfering nucleic acid (siNA), short interfering RNA (siRNA), double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), micro-RNA (miRNA), and short hairpin RNA (shRNA) molecules that are capable of mediating or that mediate RNA interference (RNAi) against PHD2 gene expression.

  • Publication number: 20240062661
Abstract: Example methods and systems for contingency landing a UAV are provided, comprising sensors configured to detect a position of the UAV and a command module. The command module receives a mission profile comprising a travel path mapped out in multidimensional space over time from an origin to a destination, a first boundary circumscribing at least a portion of the travel path, a second boundary circumscribing the first boundary, and contingent landing sites. The command module sends instructions to the UAV to fly according to the mission profile and determines a position of the UAV relative to the first and the second boundaries. Responsive to determining that the UAV is positioned at the first boundary, the command module sends instructions to land at a contingent landing site, and responsive to determining that the UAV is positioned at the second boundary, the command module sends instructions to land immediately.

  • Patent number: 11111936
Abstract: A piston assembly including a shaft having a piston arrangement. The piston arrangement has a retract-area on one side and a extend-area on the opposite side. The retract-area is larger than the extend-area so that when fluid exerts a force on the retract-area the piston arrangement generates and applies a retract force to the shaft. Upon release of the fluid pressure to the retract-area and application of the fluid pressure to the extend-area the piston arrangement generates and applies an extend force to the shaft. The retract force is greater than or equal to the extend force.

  • Publication number: 20210254730
Abstract: A sleeve for a valve assembly has an annular body with an inside surface extending from a first axial sleeve-end to a second axial sleeve-end. The inside surface has a first cylindrical section and a second cylindrical section with a conical interior seating surface extending therebetween. A groove extends circumferentially around and radially outward in the first cylindrical section and axially away from the conical interior seating surface towards the first axial sleeve-end. The sleeve includes one or more first ports that extend radially through the first cylindrical section and spaced apart from the groove. The one or more first ports are spaced apart from the groove by a lip formed by the first cylindrical section. The lip extends continuously and entirely circumferentially around the first cylindrical surface and extends a predetermined axial distance between the groove and the one or more first ports.

  • Patent number: 11028928
Abstract: A sleeve for a valve assembly has an inside surface having an interior area and a first cylindrical section extending from a first axial end and a second cylindrical section located between the first cylindrical section and second axial end. A conical interior seating surface extends between the first and second cylindrical sections. The conical interior seating surface is metallic. The sleeve includes a groove that extends circumferentially around and radially outward in the first cylindrical section. The groove extends axially away from the conical interior seating surface towards the first axial end. The sleeve has one or more ports extending radially through the first cylindrical section proximate the groove and are spaced apart from the groove by a lip formed by the first cylindrical section. The lip extends a predetermined axial distance between the groove and the port. The lip extends around the first cylindrical section and radially inward.

  • Publication number: 20070140741
Abstract: Controlling the charge on toner in a development station of an electrographic reproduction apparatus, wherein data relative to latent image charge carrying member voltage and image density control patches are sensed and development potential to achieve an aim density is calculated therefrom. A delta from an optimum development potential range is calculated, and in response to the determined delta, an amount of liquid charge control agent, from a supply of suitable liquid charge control agent, necessary to be added to the developer material in the development station to bring the toner to substantially a charge level that will enable a desired optimum developer potential is calculated. The calculated amount of liquid charge control agent is then injected directly into the development station.
