  • Patent number: 11454979
Abstract: A system includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to, upon determining that a first fluid level in a vehicle container is below a threshold based on fluid level sensor data, determine a second fluid level based on a fluid consumption signal and the fluid level sensor, and to navigate the vehicle based on the determined second fluid level.

    Assignee: FORD GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES, LLC
Inventors: Mahmoud Yousef Ghannam, Brandon Hicks, Venkatesh Krishnan, David J. Schmidt
  • Patent number: 10779077
Abstract: An apparatus includes a printed wiring board (PWB) that defines an aperture. A microphone is mounted on the PWB such that the aperture provides an acoustic path to the microphone. An acoustic interface member defines a cavity that is acoustically coupled to the microphone via the aperture. A first gasket between the printed wiring board and the acoustic interface member forms an acoustic seal. A housing is included, and a second gasket is disposed between the acoustic interface member and the housing to form an acoustic seal. An acoustic chamber is defined by a sealed volume that extends from a first (bottom/inner) surface of the housing down to a junction between the microphone and the PWB. The housing defines apertures which provide an acoustic path between a region external to the housing and the acoustic chamber. The acoustic chamber and the apertures in the housing form a Helmholtz resonator.

  • Patent number: 9154249
Abstract: A sensor network includes a plurality of sensors and a base station for sending a series of data acquisition requests to the sensors. Each data acquisition request has an index. Each sensor has a synchronization calculation module and an internal clock. The sensors are adapted and configured to receive the series of data acquisition requests and record a timestamp of receipt for each data acquisition request. The sensors also store a predefined time interval related to the plurality of data acquisition requests so that the sensor can calculate a time to start collecting data based upon the series of data acquisition requests, the timestamps, the indices, and the predefined time interval. In an alternative embodiment, the base station only sends a general request for data acquisition and a synchronization sensor module receives the general request and, in turn, sends the series of data acquisition requests to the sensors.

  • Patent number: 8818739
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring loads applied to aircraft landing gear structure. The method includes the step of interrogating at least one sensor positioned proximate the landing gear structure by way of data acquisition circuitry to yield strain data. The method further includes the step of instructing the data acquisition circuitry with respect to a sampling rate and data resolution for interrogation.
