Abstract: A lightweight portable scissor lift capable of transport in a typical light duty pick-up truck is described. The lift includes a base having an attachment mechanism to secure it to pole or other fixed structure thereby stabilizing the base and permitting a bucket to be extended upwardly without risk of the lift tipping.

Abstract: In certain embodiments a microfluidic patch is provided that allows continuous analysis of natural sweat at various body locations of sedentary individuals. In certain embodiments the patch provides integrated electrical sweat rate sensor and electrochemical sensors to enable simultaneous detection of sweat rate and compositions such as pH, Cl?, and levodopa. The patch can facilitate dynamic sweat analysis related to light physical activities, hypoglycemia-induced sweating, and levodopa sensing for Parkinson's disease management. The device enables routine analysis of natural sweat dynamics arising from different physical and physiological functions which cannot be realized by current wearable sweat sensors.

Triggering for the automatic notification may take place at an appropriate time in the emergency call, e.g., at a time the emergency call is received, at a time during the emergency call after a current location of the emergency caller is obtained by the emergency network, once the emergency call terminates, after a set amount of time after the emergency call is received, terminates, etc. The automatic notification is preferably made using voice over Internet Protocol (VolP), but may instead be pre-designated by the subscriber to be in an alternative mode, e.g., by SMS, switched telephone, etc. An option is included for the emergency caller to cancel the automatic notification. The location of the emergency caller may be configurably provided to a notified emergency contact.
