  • Publication number: 20220133573
Abstract: An armrest assembly is disclosed herein. The armrest assembly includes a main body with a proximal adjustment assembly disposed at a first end and a distal adjustment assembly disposed at a second end. The proximal adjustment assembly provides for adjustment of the main body about a first axis. The distal adjustment assembly provides for adjustment of an arm pad about a second axis as well as a third axis. To prevent damage, a breakaway assembly is provided by the distal adjustment assembly to unlock the arm pad from a raised position and lower it into a lower position in the event a weight applied to the arm pad is beyond a particular weight threshold.

  • Patent number: 11143707
Abstract: Trigger pull tracking, charge time estimation, and other features for a power tool battery pack with wireless communication. A battery pack system includes a power tool battery pack and a processor. The battery pack includes a plurality of cells and a voltage sensor connected to the plurality of cells. The processor is in communication with the voltage sensor that detects a voltage across the plurality of cells using the voltage sensor. The processor further converts the voltage across the plurality of cells to a state of charge; determines a charge rate of a charger charging the battery pack; and determines a conversion factor based on the charge rate. The processor then generates a time to full charge of the battery pack based on the state of charge and the scalar conversion factor. The processor may further generate current traces for the battery pack.

  • Patent number: 10938000
Abstract: An arrangement for battery pack protection during fluid ingress. The battery pack may include a housing, a terminal block, and a core battery assembly supported in the housing, the assembly including a core housing, a plurality of battery cells supported in the core housing, a first weld strap connecting the battery cells to a positive power terminal, a second weld strap connecting the battery cells to a negative power terminal, a first sacrificial electrode connected to the first weld strap, and a second sacrificial electrode connected to the second weld strap. A spacing between the first sacrificial electrode and the second sacrificial electrode may be selected such that an ingress fluid entering the battery pack electrically shorts the first sacrificial electrode and the second sacrificial electrode to drop a voltage of the cell battery assembly and discharge battery energy before damaging the battery cells.

  • Patent number: 10892451
Abstract: A rechargeable battery pack including a housing including a bottom wall and a top wall opposite the bottom wall, a plurality of battery cells at least partially positioned within the housing, and a latch mechanism. Where the latch mechanism includes a first linkage member having a contact surface accessible by the user from outside the housing, and where the contact surface is positioned proximate the bottom wall of the housing, a locking pawl movable with respect to the housing between a locked position and an unlocked position and in operable communication with the first linkage member, and where the locking pawl is positioned proximate the top wall of the housing.

  • Patent number: 10511008
Abstract: Battery contact with surface texturing. Exemplary battery contacts are located within a battery pack. The battery pack is operable to provide power to a device through a device contact of the device. The battery pack includes a battery pack housing, at least one battery cell located within the battery pack housing, and battery contacts including a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The battery contacts are configured to engage the device contact of the device and allow electric current to transfer from the battery pack to the device. The battery contacts define a surface having a surface texture. The surface texture includes raised portions for contacting the device contact to allow electric current to transfer from the battery pack to the device. The surface texture also includes recessed regions spaced away from the surface and for providing a space between the battery contacts and the device contact.

  • Publication number: 20190338950
Abstract: A liquid fuel air heater comprises a housing defining a motor housing portion and a grip portion extending from the motor housing portion. An electric motor is positioned in the motor housing portion. A combustion chamber is at least partially positioned within the motor housing portion. A fan is driven by the motor when activated for generating an axial airflow through the combustion chamber. A battery pack containing a plurality of battery cells connected to each other in a series or parallel arrangement is removably coupled to the grip portion of the housing for supplying power to the motor.
