  • Patent number: 8567648
Abstract: A spout adapter system is provided for use with at least two different containers in which each container has a threaded fitment adapted to removably receive a threaded closure cap and in which the two different containers have different thread configurations around the dispensing opening. The system includes a first and second adapter each having two ends and a fluid passageway extending between their ends as well as a dispensing spout having a fluid passageway for dispensing fluid. The spout includes a threaded connector which threadably cooperates with a threaded connector at one end of either of the adapters so that the dispensing spout may be used with either adapter. The first adapter includes a threaded portion at its other end which is configured to cooperate with the threaded fitment of one of the containers while the other adapter has a threaded portion at its other end configured to cooperate with the threaded dispensing opening of the other container.

  • Patent number: 7540652
Abstract: A cover assembly for a paint can having a tubular cylindrical sidewall, an open top and an outwardly protruding rim around the open top and in which the rim has a downwardly facing angular surface. The cover assembly includes a lid dimensioned to overlie the open top of the paint can. The lid includes a spout for pouring paint from the paint can. At least two spaced apart resilient locking tabs are attached to the paint can which automatically engage the downwardly facing annular surface of the rim as the lid is positioned onto the top of the paint can thereby locking the lid to the paint can. A release lever attached to each locking tab enables the lid to be removed from the paint can when desired.

  • Publication number: 20050094487
Abstract: Automatic paint stirring equipment of the type used in automotive finish and repair shops. The equipment includes a rack which is adapted to support a plurality of paint cans. The rack has a plurality of can-receiving stations and each receiving station includes an anti-rotation channel. A drive member is rotatably mounted to each receiving station while a motor mounted to the rack is drivingly connected to the drive members to rotatably drive the drive members in unison with each other. A lid is detachably secured across an open top of each paint can. A stirring assembly is rotatably mounted to the lid and includes a stirrer positioned inside the can, a stirrer shaft secured to the stirrer and rotatably mounted to the lid, and a driven member drivingly connected to the shaft above the lid. An anti-rotation boss extends upwardly from the upper surface of the lid.
