    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for remotely processing a data string. The method includes the steps of generating a data string from a communications device, which may be a telephone or a modem, and attaching an identifier code to the data string. The data string is then transmitted to a remote processor that reads the identifier code and processes the data string according to an algorithm designated by the identifier code.
