  • Publication number: 20240090660
Abstract: A modular preparation station system and method are provided. The modular preparation station system includes a base element with a perimeter track and a plurality of modular sidewall units which are engageable with the perimetral track to create an interior cavity with a variety of compartments such as to be adaptable to a wide range of commercial kitchen environments. The tracking is configured in a way to enable quick and accurate assembly of the modular preparation station internal cavity as well as to provide sufficient rigidity support and insulation to meet the needs of the commercial application. The preparation station system further includes a top element or working surface element with an adjustable cooling compartment. The top element secures to the interior cavity by way of one or more track allowing for efficient assembly and modification of the modular preparations station system.

  • Patent number: 8887440
Abstract: A system and method for controlling a garage door is presented. An alarm system includes an antenna mounted to a garage door. A signal generator logic generates a periodic signal based on a capacitive value of the antenna. The signal generator logic also provides transmit power to the antenna that is radiated away from the garage door. A detection logic detects if there is a change in a characteristic of the periodic signal caused by movement in proximity of the garage door. Amplification logic amplifies the change of the periodic signal. Alarm detection logic determines if the change is an alarm and an alarm response logic will stop a movement of the garage door when the change is an alarm resulting from movement near the door.

  • Patent number: 8825765
Abstract: A first game server is configured to provide a game to a first category of user device. A second game server is configured to provide the game to a second category of user device. A game manager is configured to receive a request from a user device for the game application and to assign the request to one of the first game server and the second game server according to whether the user device is included in the first category of user device or the second category of user device.

  • Patent number: 6804403
Abstract: A region-based system, method and architecture for encoding and decoding digital still images to produce a scalable, content-based, randomly accessible compressed bit stream is disclosed. According to the system raw image data is decomposed and ordered into a hierarchy of multi-resolution sub-images. Regions of interest are then determined. A region mask is defined to identify the regions of interest and then encoded. This data is then sorted on the basis of the magnitude of the multi-resolution coefficients to produce the scalable, content-based randomly accessible compressed bit stream.
