  • Publication number: 20240164954
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to stranded elastomeric laminates (including bi-laminates and tri-laminates) comprising beamed elastics and may have inventive Dtex-to-Nonwoven-Basis-Weight-Ratios, Dtex-to-Spacing-Ratios, and/or Void-Area-to-Strand-Area-Ratios. The stranded laminates of the present disclosure may be used for disposable absorbent article components (including pant belts) and may comprise inventive bonding arrangements that yield inventive textures and texture arrangements. When the inventive stranded elastomeric laminates are used for pant belts, the pants may have inventive Application-Forces, Sustained-Fit-Load-Forces, and Sustained-Fit-Unload-Forces. Further, when absorbent articles are packaged under compression at inventive In-Bag-Stack-Heights, the stranded elastomeric laminates of the present disclosure maintain their inventive properties and characteristics, including their inventive textures.

  • Publication number: 20210290447
Abstract: A durable absorbent pant is disclosed. The pant includes a crotch portion with a crotch gusset including an absorbent assembly. The crotch gusset may be configured to exhibit a maximum Longitudinal Elongation of 25 percent to 100 percent and a Longitudinal Tensile Modulus of 10 gf/mm to 100 gf/mm. The described stretch characteristics provide a pant with improved body conformity for improved containment of fluids (such as urine) discharged by the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20210282979
Abstract: Elastomeric laminates of the present disclosure may comprise closely spaced (e.g., Average-Strand-Spacing less than 4 mm), fine elastomeric strands (Average-Dtex less than 400), and laminates may be deformed via MD activation and/or aperturing. Further, the laminates of the present disclosure may comprise elastomeric strands having different polymer compositions. The laminates of the present disclosure may be used for disposable absorbent article components (including pant belts).

  • Patent number: 6488202
Abstract: A device and method are described for identifying the size of a disposable diaper or absorbent article which is appropriate in terms of proper fit for a potential wearer of the article. The device and method employ information regarding at least two different selected characteristics of potential wearers and an association between such information and a size of the article which is fit-appropriate for a potential wearer. The size identification is more reliable than an identification which is based solely upon a single characteristic of the potential wearer.

  • Patent number: 5597437
Abstract: Described herein is a multiple layer absorbent core having a front ear section, a crotch section and a back ear section, wherein the machine direction length of the crotch section equals the combined machine direction length of the front ear section and the back ear section, the angle and radii forming the transition from the crotch width to the ear width being equal, the core being suitable for use in an absorbent article, and a method for manufacturing such multiple layer absorbent core.
