Publication number: 20170061244Abstract: Techniques are provided for range image generation. An input image and a reference image are used to compute raw and optimized disparity-space correlation disparity results for each pixel in the reference image. A bilateral filter is applied to both the raw and optimized disparity space correlation disparity results within a neighborhood of a given pixel. For each pixel in the neighborhood, a mean of sub-pixel disparity estimates includes the raw disparity-space correlation disparity result, and another mean of sub-pixel disparity estimates is computed using optimized disparity-space correlation disparity results. The output of the bilateral filter is a weighted sum of the means, with the weights being proportional to the ratio of valid, non-optimized sub-pixel correlation disparity results to optimized sub-pixel correlation disparity results, thereby favoring non-optimized estimates.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2015Publication date: March 2, 2017Applicant: INTEL CORPORATIONInventors: Brett Miller, John Woodfill

Patent number: 7970930Abstract: A system and method that enables session-based and non-session-based application services to be controlled and managed within the IMS/NGN architecture. The IMS/NGN architecture includes a service layer and a transport layer. IMS service control functions are implemented within the service layer, and RACF and transport functions are implemented within the transport layer. The transport functions include access and core network functions, which have corresponding QoS resources. The access or core network function includes an application service control function (ASCF), which includes a PD-FE and a functional element for inspecting packet data flows, and identifying and classifying application services associated with the flows. The ASCF is employed to signal the IMS service control functions on behalf of non-session-based application services, and to reserve and allocate the QoS resources needed to support packet data flows associated with the non-session-based services.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2007Date of Patent: June 28, 2011Assignee: Ellacoya Networks, Inc.Inventors: Kurt A. Patent number: 7743166Abstract: Methods and systems for providing scaleable flow based application control in private and public Internet. A flow table can be used to control the application and subscriber traffic for communication flows in access networks. The flow table entry can provide granular, unidirectional packet transmission of data for all or a subset of all host and application communications originating from or destined to network hosts in the access network. Using a flow table entry for multiple unidirectional packet transmissions of data provides efficient use of flow table entries and allows varying operator control of application communication exchanges between network hosts and applications. By using variable masking techniques, the flow table can be used for varying degrees of control over the packet transmissions in the network.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2003Date of Patent: June 22, 2010Assignee: Ellacoya Networks, Inc.Inventors: Kurt A. Patent number: 7032243Abstract: Systems and methods for group-based network access control systems are provided. The group-based network access control system includes a software process operating on a computer. The software process is configured to communicate a packet through a group-based network protocol stack to a network interface card that includes an interface attribute. A table of network attributes, associated with a session filter module and a network filter module, compares the network endpoint attribute with the interface attribute in the table of network attributes to determine whether the software process can access the network interface card. Each network endpoint attribute comprises a primary group identifier and a supplemental group identifier list, and each interface attribute comprises a network group list. The method includes the steps of operating a software process that includes a network endpoint attribute.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2001Date of Patent: April 18, 2006Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Scott Alan Leerssen, Brett Miller Clark

Patent number: 7016956Abstract: Tailored application or service may be delivered via a communication device to a number of subscribers in a manner that avoids having to store individual copies of a service profile on the device for each subscriber receiving the application or service. Specifically, a packet is received requesting delivery of the application or service from the subscriber at a communication device. In response, the communication device retrieves a subscriber context, which references policies that describe each of the applications and services available to the subscriber. The application or service requested by the packet is compared with the policies referenced by the subscriber context to identify any matching policies. Subsequently, the requested application or service is delivered to the subscriber via the communication device according to the matching policies as described by a service profile. This service profile is accessible for describing the application or service when requested by other subscribers.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2001Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Assignee: Ellacoya Networks, Inc.Inventors: Kurt A. Publication number: 20050009380Abstract: A socket connector including a socket base having a slot oriented at a first angle with respect to a bottom surface of the socket base. The socket connector also includes a contact having a base beam and a retention portion. The retention portion forms an initial angle with the base beam before the contact is assembled with the socket base that differs from the first angle. The socket base receives the contact with the retention portion held in the slot such that an angle between the base beam and the retention portion is changed from the initial angle.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2003Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: John Brown, Matthew McAlonis, Justin McClellan, James Shiffler, David Martin, Michael Correll, Peter Wilson, Attales Taylor, Brett Miller, Troy Conner

Publication number: 20050002877Abstract: This new art is medicine that kills (cures) thick ugly toe/finger nail fungus, (or any kind of nail fungus) and the major difference with this medicine, is that this medicine is applied to the external body using a combination of sodium monofluorophosphate, sodium fluoride, and a cream/gum base. After this medicine is applied, the toe/finger nail is covered with a plastic/rubber “toe/finger housing” for 24 hours a day, and any type of nail fungus will be dead in 6 to 10 days. This “toe/finger housing” also works with other medicine.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2003Publication date: January 6, 2005Inventor: Brett Miller
