  • Publication number: 20040140381
Abstract: A rock and stone tumbling apparatus is provided for mobile transport to desired sites for continuous, uninterrupted operation to repeatingly receive, load and tumble large amounts of raw stone materials in order to give them a worn, aged, weathered and decorative appearance, and then wash, size and discharge the tumbled stone product in sorted condition according to finished stone size, for the extremely efficient and cost effective large scale tumbling processing of rock and stone materials for use in landscaping, building and other industries.

  • Patent number: 5248101
Abstract: A centrifugal impact crusher has an enclosed table to ensure that substantially all the material deposited on the table is impacted against the anvils that surround the table. The table includes spaced-apart upper and lower plates that have radially oriented impellers sandwiched between them to direct material being thrown off of the table by centrifugal force to exit the table at the proper angle to achieve maximum fracture upon striking the anvils. The impellers have projecting tabs which fit into receptacles in the upper and lower plates and the plates are squeezed together to hold the tabs in the receptacles and lock the plates and impellers together in a rigid table assembly. The upper plate has a central opening through which material is deposited onto the table. A funnel directs material fed into the crusher through an infeed plenum and into the central opening in the upper plate to ensure that all of the material reaches the table.

  • Patent number: 5184784
Abstract: A plurality of generally wedge-shaped anvils, for use in a centrifugal impact rock crushing machine, line the inner wall of a containment housing. A bracket supports the anvils in the vertical direction; the inner periphery of the housing prevents the radially outward movement of the anvils and reaction forces from two adjacent anvils prevents the radially inward movement of the intervening anvil. The significant advantages of this configuration are the absence of connective means--thus eliminating a common failure mode, and the spreading of the impact forces against the anvils over a large surface area defined by the radially inward and side surfaces at the anvils.

  • Patent number: 5137220
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting impeller blocks to the turntable of a centrifugal impact crusher is provided. Each block defines a bore that extends between its forward and back faces, with the bore including an enlarged cavity region in communication with the forward face of the block. The head portion of an elongate bolt is seated within the enlarged cavity region, with a threaded portion of the bolt projecting from the back face of the block for insertion through an opening formed in an upright mount which is joined to the turntable. A fastener engages the threaded portion to releasably hold the block against the upright mount. The head portion of the bolt includes a wedge section that is radially asymmetrical about the center axis of the bolt for preventing rotation of the bolt within the bore during retightening of the fastener.
