  • Patent number: 9575980
Abstract: An information management system creates data structures based entirely on the content of source files, then compares these data structures to discover synergies and commonalities. In one embodiment, the system accepts a first collection of source files, and extracts text from each source file. The text is compared to tags in one or more dictionaries, which comprise hierarchical listing of tags. Tags matching the text are associated with each source file. The system then generates a virtual relational network in which each source file having matching tags is a node. Tags associated with two or more source files are links between the nodes. This virtual relational network may be compared with another virtual relational network to discover common nodes or links. Source files later added to a collection are massively linked by associating all tags from all source files with the newly added source file, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 9224322
Abstract: A method and a system involve the insertion of digital data into a number of video frames of a video stream, such that the video frames contain both video content and the inserted digital data. The video, including the inserted digital data is then visually conveyed to and received by an augmented reality device without the use of a network connection. In the augmented reality device, the digital data is detected, processed and used to provide computer-generated data and/or information. The computer-generated data and/or information is then presented on a display associated with the augmented reality device or otherwise reproduced through the augmented reality device, where the computer-generated data and/or information supplements the video content so as to enhance the viewing experience of the augmented reality device user.

  • Publication number: 20130201215
Abstract: An augmented reality system and method that allows a user to access, and more particularly, install and subsequently have access to an application on an augmented reality mobile device. The system and method enhances the augmented reality experience by minimizing or eliminating user interaction in the process of initiating the installation of the application. This is achieved, at least in part, through the use of a passively activated application program. It is passively activated in that it effects the application installation based on signals received and processed by the augmented reality mobile device, where the signals reflect the surrounding environment in which the augmented reality mobile device is operating. No direct interaction by the user of the augmented reality mobile device is required to initiate the installation of the application.

  • Publication number: 20120176269
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed which relate to reproducing and testing a simulation of electromagnetic propagation of multiple Radio Frequency (RF) jammers in an environment to determine the effectiveness of the jammer configuration. In some configurations, a multi-jammer simulator renders the electromagnetic propagation of a multiple jammer scenario, including multiple RF jammers onboard vehicles traveling through the environment, and records a multi-waveform output of the multiple jammer scenario to a recordable medium. A multi-waveform generator reads the multi-waveform output from the recordable medium and physically reproduces a plurality of waveforms consistent with the multi-waveform output. The plurality of waveforms is substantially similar to a physical reproduction of the multiple jammer scenario. An RF receiver, placed within a range of effectiveness of the multi-waveform generator, attempts to receive a signal from an RF transmitter during reproduction of the multi-waveform output.

  • Patent number: 7724257
Abstract: The database is populated with target chemicals, corresponding listings of reagent chemicals, corresponding listings of equipment and corresponding listings of procedures. The database is then searched in response to user identification of a target chemical. In response, a listing is displayed of reagent chemicals that are used to synthesize the target chemical, equipment that is used to synthesize the target chemical, and a procedure that is used to synthesize the target chemical by reacting the reagent chemicals in the equipment according to the procedure. An icon-based reaction editor and/or context-sensitive Boolean query option generators may be provided. A reaction template may be used to perform predictive chemistry. A reaction relay may be used to graphically display related chemicals and procedures using a hub and spoke arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20090013280
Abstract: A user interface for a list of items, and methods of creating and using the user interface. The user interface includes a first visible region that displays a visible list of multiple items, a second visible region that displays meta-information common to all items in the list, and a third visible region that displays a meta-control corresponding to an action applicable to all items in the list. The user interface permits user interaction with individual ones of the items in the first visible region, with individual interaction being performed separately and independently of action on other items in the list. In addition, the user interface permits user interaction with all items in the list at the same time, through viewing and comprehension of the meta-information in the second visible region, and through meta-control of all items in the list by performing the action corresponding to the meta-control in the third visible region on all items in the list.

  • Publication number: 20070219907
Abstract: A method for providing a package of digital items to a user is described. The digital items are packaged into a package, and the package is encrypted and wrapped in a digital rights management system. A purchase request is received from the user requesting purchase of the package. The package is transmitted to the user for decryption and storage of the package directly onto a portable medium upon receipt by the user. The purchase request is received and the package is transmitted based on web services.

  • Publication number: 20020169566
Abstract: In response to a user query that identifies a target chemical, a listing is displayed of reagent chemicals that are used to synthesize the target chemical. A listing also is displayed of equipment that is used to synthesize the target chemical. A listing also is displayed of a procedure that is used to synthesize the target chemical by reacting the reagent chemicals in the equipment according to the procedure. User input is accepted to electronically order the reagent chemicals that are used to synthesize the target chemical, the target chemical itself and/or the equipment that is used to synthesize the target chemical. In response, a transaction is performed to electronically order the reagent chemicals that are used to synthesize the target chemical, the equipment that is used to synthesize the target chemical and/or the target chemical itself.
