The method includes receiving an IDL schema to be mapped to an XML schema and processing the IDL schema. The IDL schema may be processed to identify IDL identifiers having an added prefix, an IDL union element having a boolean discriminator type, or an IDL interface type that includes a constant string. The method may also include mapping each of the IDL identifiers by removing the added prefixes, an optional element of the IDL union element to a first XML schema type having different minimum and maximum occurs values, or the IDL interface type by creating an XML schema enumeration having a value set to a string value of the constant string. The method further includes generating the XML schema.

Abstract: A method for printing images. A plurality of proof sheets having a thumbnail representation of at least some of the images, and at least one user-markable field indicative of at least one corresponding image when marked are printed. User-marked ones of the proof sheets are optically scanned to detect marked ones of the at least one user-markable field. The marked fields are processed to determine at least one selected image associated with each scanned proof sheet. At least one selected image is printed after the user-marked proof sheets have been scanned.

Abstract: An automated system for software installation in a build-to-order information handling system. In one embodiment of the invention, a plurality of software applications are received and are disassembled to separate the individual constituent program files. These program files are decompressed and are stored in temporary file directories. Program files that are common to each of the software applications are identified and indexed. After the file analysis, the files are regrouped and a stored as a new set of compressed files. Once the new set of compressed files has been created, the top level scripts for the software application images are updated for use with the new compressed files to allow the desired combinations of software applications to be regenerated. The regenerated compressed files are then loaded into the factory servers for use in manufacturing information handling systems.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing transaction-based storage operations are disclosed. In one implementation a processor in a storage network receives a service request, executes the service request, and updates an account to reflect execution of the service request. In another implementation the processor may generate a token request for a service token and transmit the token request to a server communicatively connected to the storage network. The server validates the token request and transmits to the processor a response to the token request. The processor may invoke a service call if the response to the token request comprises at least one service token.

Abstract: A storage device is configured with one or more processes that receive, process, and pass on jobs from a source. The number of jobs received by a process is compared with the number of jobs completed and/or passed on by the process. If the number of jobs that are received is disproportionate to the number of jobs completed and/or passed on by the process, a hang may exist and a corrective action, such as resetting, may be performed along with a request for all or some of the jobs to be resent.

Abstract: A computer system and method modifies operating system files via a self-deleting background process that downloads to a user's desktop and bypasses operating system securities. The background process modifies operating system files including configuration files in a registry via a downloadable desktop component. A method for a computer system having a registry includes installing a background process, bypassing computer operating system securities for the registry via the background process, modifying the registry via the background process, and removing the background process. The method further includes providing a desktop component related to an executable file that executes when the user selects the desktop component. Following the execution of the executable file, the method includes modifying configuration files including registry keys and automatically removing the executable file, the desktop component and files associated with the executable file.
