  • Patent number: 11980892
Abstract: A hammer mill grinder includes a feed conveyor, a press wheel and a rotary hammer mill that is enclosed within a mill box. The mill box presents an intake opening for receiving feed material and a discharge opening for discharging reduced material. The press wheel is located adjacent to the mill box intake opening and is mounted at least indirectly to the mill box for vertical movement. The rotary hammer mill presents hammers that rotate, in cyclic succession, past the intake opening, the press wheel, an inside wall and a screen that is offset from the rotary hammer. The inside wall includes a contaminant bypass door that is able to open to allow a contaminant object to bypass the hammer mill prior to the screen and thereby exit the mill box around the screen to prevent damage to the hammer mill grinder.

  • Patent number: 8905344
Abstract: A feed roller assembly for a horizontal grinder having a hammer mill and a conveyor moving material to be ground or processed toward the infeed side of the hammer mill includes a side tilt frame hingedly connected along a first axis to a hammer mill frame and a feed roller frame hingedly connected along a second axis to the side tilt frame. In a first position, the side tilt frame and the feed roller frame are downwardly hinged so as to engage the feed roller with feed material. In a second position, the feed roller frame is hinged upward about the second axis to disengage the feed roller from the feed material and the hammer mill frame. In a third position, the side tilt frame is further hinged outward about the first axis to pivot the entire feed roller assembly away from the hammer mill frame.

  • Patent number: 8765863
Abstract: A halogenated elastomer partially functionalized with triethylamine, in a mixture with fiiier and a cure package, suitable for use as an air barrier in an innertube or tire innerliner, is disclosed. The halogenated elastomer can be a polymer comprising C4 to C7 isoolefm derived units, para-alkylstyrene derived units, para-(haloalkylstyrene) derived units, and para-(triethylammoniumalkylstyrene) derived units. The Mooney viscosity of the elastomer can be controlled by the degree of triethylamine functionalization. Also disclosed is a method for making an article using the tri ethy iamine-functionalized elastomer.

  • Publication number: 20070251626
Abstract: A lubricant composition for lubricating an interface between an inner surface of a tire and a safety support ring in a run-flat tire system that includes a lubricating agent selected from glycerol, polyalkylene glycol or combinations thereof and a thixotropic agent. The thixotropic agent is an organoclay comprising a mineral clay mixture treated with an alkyl quaternary ammonium salt, wherein the mineral clay mixture comprises at least one of sepiolite, palygorskite and a smectite and wherein a combined amount of palygorskite and sepiolite in the mineral clay mixture is between about 50 wt. % and about 100 wt. % with a balance of the mineral clay mixture being essentially the smectite. The lubricating agent may also be selected from a copolymer that is a mixture of alkylene oxides, preferably a mixture of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide.

  • Publication number: 20070161735
Abstract: A composition well suited to forming gas barrier layers in elastomeric articles is described. The barrier layer may be incorporated into, for instance, inflatable articles that are intended to contain a gas, such as air, under pressure. For example, in one embodiment, the barrier layer may be incorporated into a tire for preventing oxygen or other gaseous components from migrating through the tire. In general, the barrier layer is made from an elastomer that is combined with permeability reducing particles, such as a silicate, and a terpene hydrocarbon resin having a relatively high glass transition temperature. The terpene hydrocarbon resin can improve the processability of the composition and, in one embodiment, can even serve to improve the permeability characteristics of the barrier layer.

  • Patent number: 4622837
Abstract: The conduit bending tool of this invention has on its body a pair of pads which are spaced apart in the direction lengthwise of the arcuate bending shoe and which define recesses that open to one side of the body wherein end portions of a straight cylindrical spirit level vial are closely receivable. Cement on a surface of each recess that embraces the vial partway around it secures the vial in place. The pads and recesses are defined by one of the two main mold elements that form the body, which have their parting place on a plane of symmetry in the body, and the vial is installed by simply inserting it into the recesses.
