    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of determining whether a subject has suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. The method comprises selecting a subject exposed to a head trauma and determining an apoA-1 level in a body fluid sample obtained from the selected subject, wherein a decreased apoA-1 level in the body fluid sample indicates that the subject has suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. The invention also relates to a kit for determining whether a subject has suffered a mild traumatic brain injury.
