  • Publication number: 20190092008
Abstract: A method of printing onto a surface of a cylinder having radius Rc using a stationary inkjet printhead. The method includes the steps of: rotating the cylinder at an angular velocity ?c of at least ? radians per second; and ejecting ink droplets from the printhead at an ejection velocity in the range of 6 to 20 meters per second. The printhead has a print zone with a width Wp and first and second nozzle rows positioned distances d1 and d2 relative to a centerline of the print zone. The print zone and cylinder fulfil the relationship Wp/Rc?0.2, and the first and second nozzle row ejects ink droplets at times T1 and T2, whereby T1=d1/Rc?; and T2=d2/Rc?c.

  • Patent number: 10145551
Abstract: An LED lamp employing active cooling chambers is presented. The lamp features a housing having two active cooling chambers. One chamber, i.e. the first or cold chamber, contains an LED driver and one or more cooling fans, while the second chamber, i.e. the hot chamber, contains one or more LED modules secured to a heat sink. Fluid (air) communication between the two chambers is controlled by the one or more cooling fans. In operation, the fans draw ambient cooling air inside the cold chamber via air intake openings in the housing. The cooling air is then forced through a plurality of heat sink fins and heat transfer channels and exhausted from air exhaust openings in the housing.

  • Patent number: 10029458
Abstract: A method of generating print data for an inkjet printhead having a plurality of ink planes. The method includes the steps of: receiving image data for a print job in a printer controller; retrieving keep-wet pattern data for each ink plane of the printhead, the retrieved keep-wet pattern data being determined using one or more input parameters; generating first print data for each ink plane in the printer controller based on the received image data; merging the first print data with the keep-wet pattern data to provide second print data for each ink plane; and sending the second print data from the printer controller to the printhead, thereby causing the printhead to print an image together with a keep-wet pattern. The keep-wet pattern is defined by a plurality of dots printed at a frequency sufficient to maintain hydration of each nozzle in the printhead.

Abstract: A mobile computer suitable for use in an MRI environment is disclosed. The mobile computer includes at least one shielded cavity in which the electronics for the mobile computer are inserted. The shielded cavity inhibits undesirable emissions from the mobile computer from affecting the quality of the image obtained by the MRI scanner and inhibits electrical interference generated by the dynamic magnetic fields in the MRI scanner from affecting the performance of the mobile computer. In addition, the components used in the mobile computer are selected from non-ferrous materials and are arranged in a manner to minimize interaction between the mobile computer and the MRI scanner.
