  • Publication number: 20200377920
Abstract: A composition comprising a polypeptide ligated to an oligonucleotide through a sterol linker. A method of ligating a polypeptide to an oligonucleotide, comprising a polypeptide having a hedgehog steroyl transferse catalytic domain at the C-terminal of the polypeptide with an electrophilic residue, e.g., glycine, between polypeptide and the hedgehog steroyl transferse catalytic domain, and a steroylated oligonucleotide in solution, and permitting a reaction to cleave the hedgehog steroyl transferse catalytic domain from the polypeptide while ligating the steroylated oligonucleotide to the glycine at the C-terminal of the polypeptide. The oligonucleotide may be, for example, a therapeutic, diagnostic, or affinity ligand.

  • Patent number: 10685396
Abstract: An apparatus includes a code generator and a broadcaster. The code generator receives a first request from a first user and receives a second request from a second user. The code generator also generates, based on a first user role for the first user, a first segment of javascript code. The code generator also generates, based on a second user role for the second user, a second segment of javascript code. The code generator further communicates the first segment of the javascript code to a web browser of the first user and communicates the second segment of the javascript code to a web browser of the second user. The broadcaster receives a bid from the first user and communicates the bid to a server, the second user, and a third user.

  • Patent number: 9017127
Abstract: A recreational buoyancy system is provided that includes multiple floats and a user support that engages and conforms to a shape of a body of a user. The user support may include an intermediate portion and multiple arms that extend from the intermediate portion in different directions toward outer ends of the multiple arms. Multiple floats are arranged at the outer ends of the multiple arms, respectively. The user support may be made from a flexible material so that the user support can conform to the body of the user while the multiple floats buoyantly support the user in the water at the spaced-apart locations while allowing the multiple floats to move relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 8363618
Abstract: A system is adapted to manage the distribution of content to one or more cooperating media/substrates. The system receives data representative of environment conditions for one or more cooperating media/substrates adapted to display digital content. The media/substrates may be located in public spaces. The system compares the received data representative of environment conditions with selection criteria to identify content for distribution to the media/substrates. The selected content is distributed to the one or more cooperating media/substrates.

  • Patent number: 7376581
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for providing access to electronic works over a network. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention offers a user access to electronic copies of works, such as songs, albums, movies, or music videos, over a network. The user responds to the offer by requesting to access to a particular work. Before such a request is granted, the present invention may verify that the user is authorized to access to the work. In one embodiment, the user verifies that they are authorized to access an electronic copy of the work by demonstrating that they possess a physical copy of the work. In another embodiment, the user verifies that they are authorized to access an electronic copy of the work by demonstrating that they ordered or purchased a copy of the work. If a user's authorization is verified, the user may then be provided with access to an electronic copy of the work by such techniques as downloading or streaming.

  • Publication number: 20050187827
Abstract: An online system for permitting users in a data network to manage inventories of their collectibles (including antiques) includes a database of collectibles, user inventory files, user information files, a database of needed items and items available for sale, and a server-based task for managing and searching the database of needed items and items available for sale. The database of collectibles includes object classes indexed by primary classes and subclasses, and user inventory files storing inventories of instances of the object classes, including instances that each user has, instances that each user would like to sell, and instances that each user would like to buy. Users may access their respective inventories by inspecting, editing, and adding the instances to the user inventories; obtaining valuations of instances in their inventories; and insuring instances in their inventories. The server-based task finds buy-sell opportunities between the users.
