  • Publication number: 20140106846
Abstract: A method for a slot machine style game is disclosed. The method includes the steps of determining an outcome of the slot machine style game and displaying a plurality of game symbols corresponding to the outcome. At least one of the game symbols is a multiwild symbol, which comprises a wild symbol and has an award multiplier associated therewith. The method also includes the steps of determining whether at least a portion of the plurality of game symbols is a winning combination and when there is a winning combination determining a first award associated with the winning combination. In determining the first award, the multiwild symbol is treated as the wild symbol without the award multiplier. The method also randomly generates the award multiplier; determines a second award based on the first award and the award multiplier; and provides the second award to a player.

  • Patent number: 7740536
Abstract: A gaming device with a scatter pay formed by enabling a player to pick a plurality of symbol display areas. The symbols generated to be displayed in the picked symbol display areas of the scatter pay are evaluated by the gaming device for a winning combination. In one embodiment, whether an award is associated with a combination of symbols generated in the picked symbol display areas of the scatter pay is based on a separate scatter pay paytable. In one embodiment, the player is enabled to pick a predetermined number of symbol display areas upon the generation of a triggering symbol. Alternatively, the player is enabled to pick the symbol display areas to be included in a scatter pay based on making a wager of a predetermined amount.

  • Patent number: 7722451
Abstract: A gaming device having an improved offer and acceptance bonus scheme wherein the gaming device provides a plurality of masked selections and briefly reveals to the player one or more of the offers which will be associated with one or more of the masked selections. In one embodiment, one offer is revealed and that revealed offer is the maximum potential offer the player may obtain. In one embodiment, if the player selects the revealed offer, the game ends. In one embodiment, if the maximum offer is not selected, the player simply obtains the selected offer and the game ends. In another embodiment, the player may select the offer, or reject the offer and select another masked selection wherein the player may again obtain the previously selected offer.

  • Publication number: 20040002376
Abstract: A gaming device and method having a bonus game, where the gaming device enables a player to select symbol indicators such as a pair of dice from one or more pairs of dice. The gaming device rolls the selected pair of dice and the player receives a random number that is based on the sum of the numbers on each die in the selected pair of dice. If the number is not a terminator or doubles, an award is provided to the player. Subsequently, an award accelerator increases the award for the next roll by a random or predefined amount. If the number is a terminator, the game ends and the player receives the total accumulated award in the game. If the number is doubles, the player receives a larger award generated by the award accelerator. The accelerator doubles the award for a roll that results in doubles and increases subsequent awards from this award value. The player continues to select pairs of dice until the player receives a terminator or until they have no rolls remaining in the game.
