  • Publication number: 20240068778
Abstract: An weapon sight system includes a weapon sight having body with an optical element that is configured to superimpose a reticle that is visible through the optical element. The weapon sight includes a controller in electronic communication with and configured to control a light source. The light source may include an LED for generating a reticle image on the optical element at a plurality of different brightness conditions. The light source may include an array of LEDs for generating multiple different reticle images on the optical element. The weapon sight includes a Hall effect sensor in electronic communication with the controller to adjust user-selectable settings including reticle brightness or reticle image. The weapon sight system includes a magnetic input device for providing an input to the Hall effect sensor of the weapon sight.

  • Patent number: 5977957
Abstract: A touch screen input device includes a display screen adapted for receiving a touch input from a user; mechanism for sampling the touch screen input at any one of a plurality of sampling rates; mechanism for storing a predetermined sampling rate for each application or for each function; and mechanism for setting the sampling rate of the sampling mechanism to the sampling rate stored for a given application or a given function whenever that given application is being executed or that given function is being performed, respectively. In an alternative embodiment, the rate of change of the touch screen input sample points is measured and the sampling rate increased or decreased when the rate of change of the sample points increases or decreases, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5949216
Abstract: A dual mode battery charger includes an input that accepts a DC power signal, and a switch that switches the DC power signal from the input responsive to a control signal to generate a charging signal for the battery. A dual mode controller generates the control signal so that during a high current charging mode the switch is closed, and so that during a low current charging mode the switch is switched at a duty-cycle of less than 100 percent. In addition, a filter filters the charging signal to reduce a ripple portion thereof. Related methods and electronic devices are also discussed.
