Patent number: 11978238Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods of converting media dimensions. A device may identify a set of frames from a video in a first orientation as belonging to a scene. The device may receive a selected coordinate on a frame of the set of frames for the scene. The device may identify a first region within the frame including a first feature corresponding to the selected coordinate and a second region within the frame including a second feature. The device may generate a first score for the first feature and a second score for the second feature. The first score may be greater than the second score based on the first feature corresponding to the selected coordinate. The device may crop the frame to include the first region and the second region within a predetermined display area comprising a subset of regions of the frame in a second orientation.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2023Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Brian Mulford, Nathan Frey, Alexandros Panagopoulos, Yinquan Hao, Yuan Zhang

Patent number: 11625771Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method for performing a money withdrawal transaction includes transmitting a transaction identifier for use by an ATM. The method also includes receiving the transaction identifier from a mobile device of a user, where the mobile device obtains the transaction identifier by capturing machine readable code from the ATM. The method further includes receiving a withdrawal amount from the mobile device along with an identification of an account for use in the withdrawal transaction. The method additionally includes transmitting withdrawal information to a payment service provider to effectuate authorization of a withdrawal of funds from the ATM in an amount equal to the withdrawal amount. The withdrawal information is transmitted from the payment service provider to the ATM and subsequently received therefrom along with a PIN that is input by the user into the ATM. This process mimics existing withdrawal transaction processes of the ATM.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2019Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: FEXCOInventors: John F. McCarthy, Brian Frey

Patent number: 10749685Abstract: Provisioning a data rate includes receiving a digitally signed request from a requester device for data and appending the request to a distributed ledger. At least one set of digitally signed data is received from at least one data provider system. Each data set is appended to the ledger and a particular data set is selected from the at least one data set. The selected data set is provided to the requester device. A digitally signed command to provision the selected data set is received from the requester device. The command is digitally signed using the public key of the requester device. The command to provision the selected data set is appended to the ledger, causing the data provider system to be notified, and the selected data set is provisioned.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2017Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignee: First Data CorporationInventors: John Staple, Brian Frey, Lee Korotzer, Guillaume Lebleu

Publication number: 20080050833Abstract: Relative quantification of metabolites by Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry (ESI-MS) requiring a mechanism for simultaneous analysis of multiple analytes in two or more samples. Labeling reagents that are reactive to particular compound classes and differ only in their isotopic kit facilitating relative quantification and providing tangible evidence for the existence of specific functional groups. Heavy and light isotopic forms of methylacetimidate were synthesized and used as labeling reagents for quantification of amine-containing molecules, such as biological samples. Heavy and light isotopic forms of formaldehyde and cholamine were also synthesized and used independently as labeling reagents for quantification of amine-containing and carboxylic acid-containing molecules, such as found in biological samples. Advantageously, the labeled end-products are positively charged under normal acidic conditions involving conventional Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2007Publication date: February 28, 2008Inventors: Lloyd Smith, Michael Shortreed, Brian Frey, Margaret Phillips, Joshua Coon, Shane Lamos, Casey Krusemark, Peter Belshaw, Madhusudan Patel, Neil Kelleher
