  • Patent number: 8439098
Abstract: A portal extends through a vertical surface. The portal is bounded laterally by a vertical closing rail and a parallel opening rail. A flexible door has a size essentially equal to that of the portal. The door has an interior edge and an exterior edge. The interior edge is secured within the closing rail. Guide mechanisms include fixed upper and lower tracks. The upper and lower tracks are adapted to receive and guide the movement of the door when moving to and from an open orientations. A closure assembly includes upper and lower cables and pulleys adapted to move the door to the closed orientation.

  • Patent number: 8307876
Abstract: A rectangular one-piece garage door has rigid horizontal upper and lower rails and rigid vertical first and second side rails. A small door is mounted in the garage door. A track assembly has horizontal first and second upper tracks. The track assembly has vertical first and second lower tracks. An arcuate first intermediate track couples the first upper track and the first lower track. An arcuate second intermediate track couples the second upper track and the second lower track. First and second upper hinged brackets are secured to the garage door adjacent to the upper rail. First and second lower brackets are secured to the garage door adjacent to the lower rail. Rollers are each coupled to one of the brackets and rotatably received within one of the tracks for guiding the movement of the garage door between a closed lower orientation and an open raised orientation.

  • Patent number: 8151858
Abstract: Each of two tracks are in an inverted L-shaped configuration and have a vertical section and a horizontal section. A single panel garage door is mounted for movement in the tracks between a closed orientation between the vertical sections and an open orientation between the horizontal sections. A rectangular portal is positioned within the garage door. Major screening in the garage door is at locations remote from the portal. A screen door within the portal is moveable between a closed orientation over the portal and an open orientation remote from the portal.

  • Patent number: 8146647
Abstract: A frame has a circumferential slot and a circumferential chamber. Each of a plurality of similarly configured clips has a base and a leg. A screen has an attachment region through the slot and within the chamber. The leg of each clip is in contact with the attachment region of the screen. An elongated flexible spline is located within the chamber in contact with the attachment region of the screen. The clip is adapted to hold the screen in position with respect to the frame until the spline is inserted into the chamber in contact with the attachment region of the screen for securement purposes.

  • Publication number: 20110083371
Abstract: A retractable screen door system has a flexible door with a free vertical edge and horizontal upper and lower edges and a vertical constrained edge. A recipient structure has an opening bounded by horizontal upper and lower rails and a fixed post and hollow housing post. A flexible screen door has a free vertical edge and horizontal upper and lower edges and a vertical constrained edge. A cylindrically shaped spring cartridge is located in the housing post to receive and support the constrained edge of the screen door. Upper and lower end caps are between the cartridge and the rails. Spline grooves are formed in the rails and in the upper end cap and the hollow housing post and the lower end cap to facilitate the efficient mounting of screen material and spline.
