According to certain aspects, an electronic device may present a first template associated with a first online service, and a second template associated with a second online service. The electronic device may facilitate a search using inputted keywords, and identify a set of images and/or design elements according to the search. The electronic device may modify the first template and/or the second template by incorporating various of the images and/or design elements. A user may select different functionalities associated with the modified templates, including selecting digital design for an online service, such as a social media site and/or an online video conferencing site.

Text elements without text content are disregarded. Positioning of user text entries is determined based on the size of the text entries, defined text element spacing distances, and defined positioning rules. Creating a layout incorporating user-supplied text entries and/or image may include cropping or resizing of other design elements in the product design and wrapping of relatively long text entries onto multiple lines.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and using composite images are provided. An online design customization tool receives user-supplied text and automatically combines the text with a user-selected image to create horizontal and vertical composite images. The aspect ratios of the composite images are compared to the aspect ratio of an image container in an electronic product design template to determine which composite image version is appropriate. The appropriate composite image is automatically incorporated into the electronic product design template and displayed the user.

Abstract: Cropping and sizing operations are performed on master frame images to create a plurality of component frame images for a content image. The component frame images are positioned relative to the component image so as to form a frame image for the content image.

Abstract: Versions of user-selected content images are automatically created, sized, and positioned within a template such that all versions are simultaneously displayed without overlapping in a defined acceptable image area of the template. Creating the content image versions may include creating a frame image for the content image. A predefined anchor point associated with the acceptable image area is used to control the location of the image versions within the image area.

Abstract: An automated method for identifying images in an image database based on scores assigned to a plurality of input keywords. Each input keyword is assigned a keyword score based on the number of images in the database that are associated with that keyword. Each image in the database is then assigned an image similarity score based on the keyword scores of the input keywords associated with that image. If a user selects an image in the image database and requests to see similar images, the keywords associated with the selected image are used as input keywords. Images in the database with image similarity scores indicating greatest similarity are provided to the user.

Abstract: Automated electronic document design systems and methods for appropriately sizing and positioning uploaded user images into predefined image areas in a product design being created in a Web environment. For an image that is not to be cropped when incorporated into the design, the image is sized to fit within the selected image area and positioned in the image area according to a predefined anchor location. The aspect ratio of the original image is maintained. For an image that is available for cropping when incorporated into the design, the image is sized and cropped to create a version of the image that fills the image container.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods for presenting personalized custom product designs to the customers of a second company. Email content promoting customizable products and containing images of product designs is prepared by the product vendor and supplied to a second company. The second company creates and sends an email containing the content to customers of the second company. If a recipient of the email selects one of the product images presented in the email, an identifier of the selected image and information about the email recipient are forwarded to the product vendor. The received recipient information is incorporated into the selected design to create a customized product design, which is displayed to the recipient for review.

Abstract: Computer-implemented product design creation system and method for quickly developing a product design having desirable component elements. Multiple candidate product designs are simultaneously displayed for review. Controls are provided allowing a reviewer to enter a preference level for individual component elements of each of the displayed designs. A new set of candidate designs is created based on the entered preference levels. The new candidate designs are displayed for further review and further preference level selection.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods for automatically creating a second customized product design incorporating information from a first customized product design. Information from a first custom product design is automatically combined with additional automatically selected content to create a new custom product to be promoted to the customer. When possible, information known about the customer, such as the customer's geographic location or business interests, is used to select the additional content for incorporation into the design.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and method for generating individualized email communications to customers promoting a second customized product that shares design elements with a previously ordered first customized product. Customer records are searched to identify product promotion candidates. A personalized email order solicitation adapted to display an automatically created image of the matching product is sent to identified candidate customers. The matching product image displayed to the email recipient is created to incorporate design elements of a first product ordered by the recipient and information associated with the recipient such that the email recipient sees a customized second product image.

Product reorder candidates are identified from customer records and a personalized email order solicitation is sent to the customer. The email is adapted to display an image of the customer's previously designed custom product, either exactly as originally designed or, if appropriate, as automatically updated prior to displaying to the user.
