  • Publication number: 20190063332
Abstract: Systems and methods for NOx prediction in a power plant are disclosed. According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a method for NOx prediction in a power plant can be provided. The method may include receiving parameters associated with operation of a combined gas turbine and steam turbine in a power plant, wherein the parameters comprise a combined power output value; determining a steam turbine power output value; based at least in part on the steam turbine power output value, estimating a gas turbine power output value. The method may further include: based at least in part on an input matrix, determining a set of modeled gas turbine parameters.

  • Publication number: 20180013293
Abstract: A model-based control system is configured to select a desired parameter of a machinery configured to produce power and to output emissions and to select an emissions model configured to use the desired parameter as input and to output an emissions parameter. The model-based control system is additionally configured to tune the emissions model via a tuning system to derive a polynomial setpoint, and to control one or more actuators coupled to the machinery based on the polynomial setpoint.

  • Publication number: 20130174649
Abstract: A fluid leak detection system is provided, and includes a fluid conduit, a fluid-cooled device having an inlet and an outlet, an inlet flow meter, an outlet flow meter, and a controller. The inlet flow meter and inlet flow meters are fluidly connected to the fluid conduit. The inlet flow meter monitors the inlet of the fluid-cooled device for an inlet temperature and an inlet flow rate. The inlet and outlet flow meters each have flow meter drift versus process fluid temperature curves as well as drift versus ambient temperature curves, wherein the curves for the inlet flow meter differ from the outlet flow meter. The outlet flow meter monitors the outlet of the fluid-cooled device for an outlet temperature and an outlet flow rate. The controller is in communication with the inlet flow meter and the outlet flow meter.
