  • Patent number: 7435173
Abstract: A gaming device including an apparatus and method for indicating awards in a game, and specifically to an apparatus and method employing an award indicator disk display. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a housing mounted on a cabinet of a gaming device, a support mounted in the housing and at least one award disk adapted to slideably engage the support. The disks include one or more symbols. The disks move or slide relative to the support to indicate one or more symbols to a player based on a triggering event in the game.

  • Patent number: 6656041
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for emulating a storm associated with a gaming device. The invention includes a topper unit connected to the housing of the gaming device, where the topper unit includes a blower mechanism to create an air stream that emulates winds associated with a storm. The topper unit further includes an illumination source that emulates lightening associated with a storm. Thunder is provided by a sound card that transmits the thunder through speakers attached to the gaming device.

  • Patent number: 4827772
Abstract: A differential pressure sensing means and method includes an inlet receiving a fluid having a first pressure. Another inlet receives a fluid having a second pressure. A plurality of pressure sensing devices are connected to the first and second inlets. Each pressure sensing device senses a pressure differential within a different predetermined range of pressures and provides a pressure signal representative thereof. An output circuit connected to the plurality of pressure signals provides a pressure signal selected from one of the signals provided by the plurality of pressure sensing devices so as to provide a pressure signal representative of the pressure difference between the first and second pressures of the fluids.
