  • Publication number: 20040214665
Abstract: The apparatus has a stanchion (10) including a plurality of telescopic members (12, 112, 14, 114, 16) provided with lines of spaced securing holes (22, 12, 1122) extending along the length thereof. A ball target device (20, 120) is detachably and adjustably mounted on the stanchion (10). Telescopic leg assemblies (18, 54, 56) are mounted on thc stanchion (10) intermediate the ends thereof.

  • Patent number: 6665622
Abstract: A spectral characterization method accurately characterizes an applied signal spectrum that has multiple, spectrally-separated signal peaks. The method detects signal peaks within the spectrum and measures the spectral content of that spectrum using a first measurement bandwidth that is sufficiently wide to encompass each of the signal peaks and accurately measure a signal component of the spectrum. Spectral content of the spectrum measured using a narrow measurement bandwidth that accurately characterizes a noise component of the spectrum. Signal-to-noise ratio for the signal peaks can be calculated based on the measurements performed using the first and second measurement bandwidths. The spectral characterization method is implemented using a spectral measurement instrument having an adjustable measurement bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 6401631
Abstract: A folding table is provided with a foldable leg structure. The legs fold between a first working position and a second stored position. As the legs move towards the stored position, a pair of wheels associated with the legs structure are moved into operative position, enabling the table top to be rolled easily to storage.

  • Patent number: 5509447
Abstract: Disclosed is a 2/2 directional seal valve with direct control comprising a housing and a seat piston installed, i.e., located, in leakproof and slidable manner in the housing. The piston has a conical surface which acts together with a seating surface located in the housing to open and close a passageway for passing pressure medium therethrough. A closing spring is also provided. One end of the closing spring bears against the housing and another end of the closing spring bears against the seat piston. In order to achieve a valve of this type which, while functioning in a leakage-free manner, has a low weight and is especially suitable for use in aircraft hydraulics. The seat piston comprises a high-strength carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic and the housing comprises light metal or a light metal alloy.

  • Patent number: 5411055
Abstract: A flow limiting throttle element for restricting the flow of a fluid guided in a delivery line, including a pressure-tight housing having a first bore hole portion, a second bore hole portion adjoining the first bore hole portion and two coaxially arranged working connections. A substantially cylindrical piston is arranged in the first bore hole portion of the housing so as to be freely axially displaceable therein, the first bore hole portion having a length that is at least 50% of the piston length. Overflow ducts are arranged in an outer surface area of the piston and the second bore hole portion of the housing has a cylindrical recess which communicates with the overflow ducts and transits into a first one of the working connections. The first working connection having an inner diameter smaller than that of the second bore hole portion.

  • Patent number: 5040747
Abstract: A gripping and locking arrangement for an aircraft movable component such as a flap door or undercarriage comprises a piston and a piston rod operative as a means for sensing a closing movement of the flap door or undercarriage, and also operative automatically actively to pull same by means of a closing hook into a position in which it is to be locked. The arrangement includes a locking member displaceable within the piston to move lock elements into a locking position and to hold them in the locking position until the arrangement receives a hydraulic pressure signal for causing lowering of the flap door or undercarriage, and the locking member is then displaced whereby the lock elements move into a release position. The hydraulic oil pressure can then act on the piston to produce displacement thereof into a position in which the closing hook releases the flap door or undercarriage component.
