Patent number: 11337852Abstract: A system for storing and delivering a predetermined amount of fluid includes a syringe including a barrel, a flange disposed at the proximal end of the barrel, and a plunger assembly configured to be received in the lumen of the barrel. The plunger assembly includes a piston and a plunger rod. The plunger rod is removably couplable to the piston at the distal end of the plunger rod and includes a thumb press flange at the proximal end of the plunger rod. The system further includes a stop feature that is removably couplable to the syringe or the plunger assembly. The stop feature is configured to arrest distal advancement of the plunger assembly relative to the syringe when the plunger assembly reaches a predetermined position relative to the syringe. The stop thus ensures that a predetermined amount of fluid remains in the barrel.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2019Date of Patent: May 24, 2022Assignee: Gyroscope Therapeutics LimitedInventors: Mark C. Tsai, Brian M. Gatton, Jr., Michael F. Keane, Isaac J. Khan, Brendan J. Oberkircher, Daniel W. Price

Publication number: 20130263886Abstract: A retractable cosmetic device includes an outer shell defining a cavity and an inner shell defining a cavity. At least a portion of the inner shell is positioned within the cavity of the outer shell. The inner shell is slidably attached to the outer shell. At least one slider is positioned within and slidable with respect to the inner shell. A tool is fixedly attached to the slider. The tool is movable between an extended position in which at least a portion of the tool extends outwardly from the inner shell and a retracted position in which the tool is positioned within the inner shell.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2013Publication date: October 10, 2013Inventors: Carie BRESCIA, Peter M. Patent number: 8550273Abstract: A vial including an end wall with a given perimeter, a side wall depending from the end wall about the given perimeter, and a plug wall depending from the end wall such that an outer surface of the plug wall is radially inward and spaced from the side wall. The plug wall has an attached end portion and a free end portion. The outer surface along the attached end portion of the plug wall is angled relative to the end wall by a first angle and the outer surface along the free end portion is angled relative to the outer surface along the attached end portion and extends at a second angle relative to the end wall with the second angle being larger than the first angle.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2010Date of Patent: October 8, 2013Assignee: Wheaton Industries, Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Levin, Brian M. Patent number: 8453873Abstract: A closure configured to be engaged with a container, wherein the closure includes a cap and a twist ring. According to aspects of the disclosure, the cap may include: a generally cylindrical main body, a lid, a sidewall extending substantially perpendicularly from the lid, a hinge which allows the lid to pivot between a closed position and an open position, and a lift tab configured to protrude outwardly from the cap. According to aspects of the disclosure, the twist ring may be configured to extend around the cap. Further the twist ring may include: a generally cylindrical main body, a rim extending in a substantially horizontal plane and a sidewall extending substantially vertically from the rim. According to aspects of the disclosure, the twist ring may be configured to be rotated in order to be positioned to selectively prevent the lid of the cap from being pivoted from the closed position to the open position.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2010Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: Amcor LimitedInventors: Peter M. Zielinski, Garrett Hager, Don F. Yeager, Brian M. Gatton

Publication number: 20020174865Abstract: A nasal spray system for dispensing medicaments and vaccines through nasal passages is described comprising three elements; a standard syringe, a disposable pre-filled nasal spray tip, and a disposable snap cap that protects the nasal spray tip from contamination. To dispense medicaments and vaccines, the disposable snap cap is removed and the syringe mated to the nasal spray tip. Upon insertion into a nasal passage, the syringe plunger is pushed forward dispensing the atomized liquid. The nasal spray tip is discarded and a new spray tip mated with the syringe for insertion into the other nasal passage.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2002Publication date: November 28, 2002Inventors: Brian M.
