  • Patent number: 11788412
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for recovering a continuous miner arrangement from a tunnel. The system includes a coupler for coupling the continuous miner arrangement to a pulling apparatus. The pulling apparatus pulls the continuous miner arrangement from the tunnel. Advantageously, the pulling apparatus may pull the continuous miner arrangement from the tunnel, either fully or partially until the continuous miner arrangement may once again retract from the tunnel under its own power.

  • Patent number: 11746653
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mining system. The system includes a continuous miner for forming plunge tunnels from a roadway. A flexible conveyor system is coupled to the continuous miner for conveying mined material from the plunge tunnels. A controller is provided for controlling the continuous miner and the flexible conveyor system to travel along a predetermined path. Advantageously, the controller may control the drive and steering (including turning maneuvers) of the continuous miner and each conveyor module of the flexible conveyor system along the predetermined path to avoid striking either any adjacent equipment (e.g. another conveyor), or the ‘ribs’ of a plunge tunnel being mined.

  • Patent number: 11611436
Abstract: A technique provides cohesive and secure access to management services of a distributed storage architecture deployed on compute and storage nodes of a cluster. The management services are organized as a platform that encompasses a plurality of underlying individual services each having an applications programming interface (API) that are together securely accessible via an API gateway. The gateway is configured to support a “browsable” directory of the APIs that enables a client to identify various underlying services available within the cluster. In an embodiment, the underlying services “self-register” at the gateway to provide a single, unified location for the client to access the services. The API gateway includes a reverse-proxy server that is configured to provide a single point of entry for clients interacting with the individual services underlying the management services platform.

  • Patent number: 11597605
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flexible conveyor system. The system includes a supply conveyor module and a receiver conveyor module. A hitch mechanism is provided for pivotally coupling the supply conveyor module to the receiver conveyor module about a pivot axis so that the receiver conveyor module receives conveyed material from the supply conveyor module proximal to the pivot axis. Advantageously, the receiver conveyor module receives conveyed material from the supply conveyor module proximal to the pivot axis which impedes spillage between the adjacent conveyor modules on very tight corners.

  • Publication number: 20220372135
Abstract: Aspects of the application provide hepcidin antagonists and methods of using the same in treating myelofibrosis and/or conditions associated with myelofibrosis. In certain embodiments, methods are provided for treating myelofibrosis, which is generally characterized as a myeloproliferative disease associated with chronic inflammation and progressive marrow fibrosis. Anemia is a major clinical problem in myelofibrosis and is associated with negative outcomes. Such anemia is generally caused by, or associated with, bone marrow failure, splenomegaly and/or functional iron deficiency, which may contribute to inflammation.

  • Publication number: 20220372136
Abstract: Aspects of the application provide hepcidin antagonists and methods of using the same in treating anemias of chronic disease, iron-restricted anemias, and/or conditions associated with anemia. Accordingly, aspects of the present disclosure relate to treating a subject with high hepcidin levels (e.g., ACD) by inhibiting the BMP signaling pathway (e.g., hemojuvelin-induced BMP signaling pathway) and/or the inflammatory response (e.g., IL-6 mediated inflammatory pathway).

  • Patent number: 11448358
Abstract: Provided is a jack stand that includes a base and a post for extending from the base. A top is provided for topping the post and engaging with a load. The top includes a load spreader for spreading the weight of the load to the post. Advantageously, the spreader spreads the weight of the load to the post thereby resulting in a more heavy duty jack-stand, rated for significantly higher loads, than prior jack stands which instead can fracture under heavy unbalanced loads locally travelling along one side when the loading is not evenly spread.

  • Publication number: 20220145761
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mining system including a continuous miner. The continuous miner mines material and includes a miner navigation system. The mining system further includes a flexible conveyor system for receiving the mined material from the continuous miner. The flexible conveyor system includes a conveyor navigation system. The mining system further includes control means for controlling the miner navigation system and the conveyor navigation system so that the flexible conveyor system receives the mined material from the continuous miner. Preferably, the flexible conveyor system need not be coupled to the continuous miner, and can be extracted separately in the event of a cave-in on the miner.
