Publication number: 20240159004Abstract: A gravity clean-off magnetic sweeper apparatus that connects to the front of industrial equipment or industrial vehicles where a bucket would normally go. The magnetic sweeper is lifted off the ground slightly and driven around an area to pick up metal debris. The collected debris is then cleaned off of the bottom of the invention by lifting it with the machine and pivoting it downward. As the magnetic sweeper is pivoted downward, the mass of the magnets, which is greater than its attraction force to the metal debris attached to the pan in between the magnet and the debris, allows the magnet to hang vertically, as the pan is forced away from the magnet. This removes the metal debris away from the magnetic field and allows it to fall from the magnetic sweeper.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2023Publication date: May 16, 2024Inventors: John MAGUIRE, Brian WEBER

Publication number: 20100250451Abstract: A system is provided for managing incoming communications placed in response to advertising, online content, and/or special service numbers. Information extracted from incoming communications can be received by a system server and cross-referenced with a database to obtain cross-referenced customer information pertaining to previous customer communications in the form of online communications, telephone calls, and/or in person customer meetings. The cross-referenced customer information can be passed to a client workstation and displayed to the user in the form of an industry-specific template formatted in accordance with the business needs of the user. The template can be automatically populated with the cross-referenced customer information. The user can view and update the customer information, thereby maintaining a retrievable record of the communication.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2010Publication date: September 30, 2010Inventors: William McCullough, Brian Maguire, Karen Maguire, Richard Goldberg, Marla Goldberg

Publication number: 20100232586Abstract: A system is provided for managing telephone calls made to special service numbers. Information extracted from incoming telephone calls can be received by a system server and cross-referenced with a database to obtain cross-referenced caller information pertaining to previous customer telephone calls and/or in person customer meetings. The cross-referenced caller information can be passed to a client workstation and displayed to the user in the form of an industry-specific template formatted in accordance with the business needs of the user. The template can be automatically populated with the cross-referenced caller information. During the telephone call, the user can view and update the caller information, thereby maintaining a retrievable record of the telephone call. With regard to the multi-housing industry in particular, caller information can be displayed in the form of a guest card template and/or a service card template.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 12, 2008Publication date: September 16, 2010Inventors: William McCullough, Brian Maguire, Karen Maguire, Richard Goldberg, Marla Goldberg

Publication number: 20070238084Abstract: An on-line, computerized, software-driven system provides writing assessment of submitted essays with instructional feedback. The feedback incorporates comments and prompts provided to the user which are generated in response to the assessment evaluation of written text. Skill level and developmental level comments, remarks and prompts on various genre specific domain areas are provided in a real-time mode or in a request response mode, as elected by the user. Assessment and scores are provided by machine methods driven by a software engine. All appropriate comments and prompts are generated to the user by analysis logic software operating on a database of genre specific, educationally acceptable comments and prompts.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventors: Brian Maguire, Kevin MacClay, Lorna Maguire

Publication number: 20070218450Abstract: A method and a web-based software apparatus for use in the automated scoring of assessment test papers, utilizes both a human and the machine scoring of each paper in a poly-metrological evaluation each assessment score. The scoring performance of each human scorer, in web-base assessment scoring production, is constantly monitored and evaluated, in real time, for score accuracy, bias, and other factors. Whereof, each human score performance is measured against machine score performance of the same assessment paper, and if need be, against a second human score performance in scoring the same assessment paper. Scores are resolved according to a subscriber approved algorithm. Irresolvable discrepancies are addressed by a chief or master human scorer. The score performance history of each production, human scorer is constantly monitored, in real time, and each human scorer is prompted or selected-out for retraining, as necessary, according to a selected, real time, evaluation algorithm.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2006Publication date: September 20, 2007Inventors: Kevin MacClay, Brian Maguire, Kun Hang

Publication number: 20060003306Abstract: A hardware and software implemented, standardize testing, scoring and reporting system has a network interface, being either LAN or the Internet. A test is selected from a library, assigned to a group of examinees, and a record is made of the assignment. The test is available on-line, or downloaded, or both. Downloaded tests are saved as PDF files and printed into booklets. Examinees record answers on bubble sheets, which are scanned at the customer site or shipped to a processing plant. Individual scanned answer sheets provided data for individual scanned records. Scanning software performs an initial auto-correct and then performs an initial check for errors in scanned records. Tests are batched for later inspection. Scanned records with errors are classified as invalid and the test papers are separated. Prompts are generated for a human test paper inspection and scanned record editing.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2004Publication date: January 5, 2006Inventors: Michael McGinley, Brian Maguire, Scott Elliott, Robert Patrylak, George Allen

Patent number: 6971314Abstract: Mines are fabricated in the form of munitions, specifically including cartridges for firearms and several types of grenade, including both hand grenades and rocket-propelled grenades, the cartridges containing either very high energy explosives or very high temperature burning materials, that upon ignition will at least destroy the firearm in which fired or may exert lethal force against the user, while such mines in the form of grenades will explode immediately upon being activated rather than exhibit the expected time delay, both types of mines being supplied surreptitiously to an enemy force for its unknowing use, thereby to direct the lethal effect of such munitions against those enemy forces rather than the friendly forces as the enemy forces would have intended.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2003Date of Patent: December 6, 2005Inventor: Brian Maguire
