Abstract: A wireless audio receiver is provided that couples to a video camera using a standard audio connector. This enables a wide range of legacy and non-wireless video cameras to receive sound information through a wireless connection. The wireless audio receiver may be paired with a remote wireless microphone, and receive a wireless signal having sound information captured at the remote location. In one example, the wireless audio receiver is constructed with a Bluetooth compliant radio system. The wireless audio receiver may connected to an audio-in port of the camera using a connection cable, or the wireless audio receiver may be constructed so that the standard connector provides both mechanical and electrical connections.
